The Anaheim Ducks are on a roll at home as they face the Dallas Stars tonight at the Honda Center. Dana Lane explains why laying a larger price is okay tonight to get a sure win.

I'm driving down to the Honda Center this weekend to watch the Ducks take on the St. Louis Blues. It's always good to scout teams in person to give you the best information so we can continue to make educated decision choices at the betting window. Anaheim has played well at home of late winning seven of their last nine with one loss coming in overtime.

Last night, the Washington Capitals gave us an easy plus money winner against the Montreal Canadiens giving my followers five winners in the last eight plays. We're feeling good about our handle on the league so we're willing to take a chance tonight in hopes of giving you an easy winner. If it doesn't work out we always know that we're playing with house money.

Dallas Stars vs Anaheim Ducks

I anticipate the Anaheim Ducks continuing their winning ways at home as the Dallas Stars take the 45-minute ride from Los Angeles to play their second game in as many nights against the Ducks.

Anaheim dropped a 2-1 decision to the Minnesota Wild Sunday night in the return of head coach Bruce Boudreau. This was a game that Boudreau had circled on the calendar for a long time so let's not put too much emphasis on the loss to one of the Elite teams in the Western Conference.  The Ducks will get back to basics tonight against the Dallas Stars who have been trying to find an identity all season.

Anaheim has two shutdown defensive pairings that have not been very active in the last two games. Expect Head Coach Randy Carlyle to have Cam Fowler and Hampus Lindholm get more involved in the offensive. You'll see a much more aggressive effort with one or both hitting the scoresheet.

This is why we're going to lay -155 tonight.

This is a Dallas team that just beat the Kings last night despite starting goaltender Kari Lehtonen getting pulled in the third period. Expect Annti Niemi to start for the Stars tonight. Goaltending has been a major issue for Dallas this season. Niemi has a goal against average that hovers just under 3.00. We can never justify backing a team with horrible goaltending along with a poor penalty kill. Stars opponents have converted six of their last nine power play chances.

Yes, it's a little too much to lay but I think this is a lay-up for us tonight. Make sure to get the best lines at any of these approved SBR sportsbooks.
