The visiting team hasn’t won in regulation in 16 straight meetings, which helps explain why the NHL odds are listing the Sharks as such a big favorite.

The Los Angeles Kings Can Win Because…
…is there a good reason? The Kings really struggle at the Shark Tank as they’ve dropped seven straight regulation visits and nine if you’re counting the postseason. It doesn’t get much worse than that.
On top of that, the Kings are in a major funk right now as they’ve lost five straight and 10 of 14. They’re coming apart at the seams right now and it’s not the type of team you want to be investing into with your NHL picks.
The Kings played at home on Saturday night but it wasn’t a true home game as they played outdoors at Dodgers Stadium. Prior to that, they had been on a five-game road trip and now they’re back on the road. That’s not good for a team that’s been awful on the road as they’ve lost nine of their last 10 away games.
The San Jose Sharks Can Win Because….
They’re on a roll right now. They’ve won six straight and are again streaking up the standings. With the Chicago Blackhawks slumping and the St. Louis Blues toiling, the Sharks have a real opportunity to gain some ground on the teams in front of them.
The Sharks aren’t giving up anything these days as they’ve allowed just 11 goals in their last eight. That’s bad news for a Kings team that can’t light the lamp these days, averaging just 1.75 goals per game over their last eight.
Outlook & Pick
Can the Kings win this game? Sure. Anything is possible. However, if you’re a betting man, there’s no way you can make a case for them here with your NHL picks. They’re struggling in the worst way, they don’t play well on the road, they especially struggle in San Jose and the Sharks are rolling. Take the Sharks.Pick: Sharks -156 at Pinnacle
