The NFL season moves along and so do we in search of finding additional revenue sources to keep building our bankrolls or wagering accounts at offshore sportsbooks or in the states.
Besides the traditional methods, NFL teasers are another way that can place the NFL odds in your favor. It used to be the only way you bet teasers was with four games, which made it hard in professional football, even with seemingly more favorable odds.
However today, because of teasers increased popularity, sportsbooks have many more offerings and you can make NFL picks on these with as few as two games today.
I have not been up to usual standards just yet, coming off just one possible two-teamer winner last week, thus, definitely seeking improvement this week.
L.A. Chargers Taken From +3 to +9 vs. N.Y. Giants
If you have been following the Chargers the last couple years either in San Diego or in their new mini-me stadium, you know their penchant for losing close games. In the last two-plus seasons, Los Angeles South is 3-17 SU in games decided by seven points or less, including seven in a row. The last three have come since moving north, leaving them 0-4 and this Sunday they face another winless team in the Giants. As I said about teaser, passing through key numbers can be important and here we go past 3, 6 and 7 and that matters when you consider the Chargers recent history of 24 of 36 games played have been determined by eight or fewer points.
Buffalo Taken From +3 to +9 vs. Cincinnati
The Buffalo Bills have been among the biggest shockers in the first quarter of the season, playing fabulous defense and doing just enough on offense to be 3-1. This week they will be in Cincinnati, who finally just earned their first win of the season. The Bills are attractive on two fronts besides passing thru key numbers, which is, home favorites like the Bengals after allowing 5.5 or less passing yards per attempt in last game, going against opponent after gaining seven or more passing YPA in two straight outings, win by less than a point in last 29 tries. And Buffalo is 9-3 SU in last dozen confrontations with Cincy.
Pittsburgh Taken From -8 to -2 over Jacksonville
All right, by now you know the drill and can see this teaser is go past important numbers in backing Pittsburgh. What you might not know is the Steelers are the best home wager you can make in October in the NFL at 36-16 ATS, winning by more a touchdown a game. Toss in they are 22-1 against a teaser line in home games vs. teams averaging 60+ penalty yards per contest and we should have a winner!
Seahawks/Rams Teaser Total
The Los Angeles Rams offense has taken the NFL by storm at 35.5 PPG. This has overshadowed a Rams defense that has been porous in permitting 26.2 PPG. Seattle had offensive explosive last week with 46 points (12 by the defense) and that made it two weeks in a row the Seahawks had gone over 450 yards of offense. If we are able to take total from 47 to 41 and make an OVER play on this matchup, with two hot offenses; and Seattle being 6-0 OVER after surpassing 450 yards in consecutive contests, plus being 85-16 OVER on a teaser total vs. teams scoring 24 or more PPG (average total score 48.3), I like our chances to be correct.Teaser Pick: 6-Points | Charger, Bills, Steelers, Seahawks-Rams Total
