Don't be a square and wait until kickoff to decide which side you're betting because the NFL odds move quickly and just one point can be the difference between making money and losing money. Let's listen to what the early lines are telling us.

Saturday 4:25 PM ET Titans vs. Chiefs

The NFL odds on this wildcard round see the Chiefs installed as seven-point home chalk but that number has risen to 7 ½ in many online sportsbooks and has soared to as high as eight at Bookmaker. As any seasoned football bettor knows, the number seven can be critical and if the books are moving off of it, even just half a point, you know there must be a tidal wave of action on Kansas City. The bookmakers have already committed themselves to getting sided, or middled if bettors chose to buy KC to 6 ½, so this line could continue to rise. Be patient if you like the underdog here.

Saturday 8:15 PM ET Falcons vs. Rams

Another favorite is gaining steam in the early action as the LA Rams broke out of the gate as 4 ½ point favorites over last season's Super Bowl runner-ups. However, the line currently sits at Rams -6 in many shops with a few offering the home chalk at 5 ½. If you believe Atlanta can keep pace with the No. 1 offense in the league then get on over to Bookmaker, Heritage, or JustBet, all of whom are offering the Dirty Birds +6. However, if you feel like the Rams will dispense with the Falcons and cover the number then get the best bang for your buck at Pinnacle, BetOnline, and Intertops, all hanging LA -5 ½.

Sunday 1:05 PM ET Bills vs. Jaguars

Despite Jacksonville's two consecutive losses heading into their postseason tilt with the Bills, bettors are including the Jags in their NFL picks in the early going as the oddsmakers have spiked the number from Jacksonville -7 to -7 ½ as of this Monday afternoon writing. As in the Chiefs game, where the line has inched only half a point, it's a critical half-point indeed due to the magical number seven. If you're a dog lover then you may want to sit tight as this line could rise as the week progresses.

Sunday 4:40 PM ET Saints vs. Panthers

Drew Brees and the high-flying Saints were opened as 5 ½ point home favorites but that line has inched its way to six at most of the online sportsbooks. However, if you believe Cam Newton will don his Superman cape and keep his Carolina Cats close in this rematch of NFC South rivals down on the bayou then get on over to BetCris and SportsInteraction, both of whom are dealing the Panthers at +6 ½.
