We couldn’t close out Week 8 with another bang, but we are still coming off two straight winning weeks! I am ready to make it a third in a row as we attempt to grab a couple of winning NFL prop picks on Thursday night.
Mike Evans O/U 90.5 receiving yards
This Thursday night game is huge for both teams. The Falcons had a big win against the Packers to move to 5-3 on the year in Week 8 and if they can win tonight against the Bucs, their chances of winning the division go up significantly.
The Falcons know if they can jump on this Bucs defense early they can win this game and if that happens, expect to see a ton of Mike Evans catching passes all over the field. He went for 99 yards in the Bucs’ Week 1 win against Atlanta and that was with Vincent Jackson healthy.
Now with Jackson out of the picture and on short rest against a horrible defense, I expect Evans to feast here on Thursday. He has 79 targets in his last six games and if Jameis Winston can actually get him the ball, the over is a great play tonight.
The Falcons have allowed the eighth most yards to opposing receivers this season along with 10 touchdowns allowed to them. They are giving up the second-most yards to quarterbacks this season and short rest with the defenses both not very good, take the over here.

Mohamed Sanu O/U 45 ½ receiving yards
Mohamed Sanu had his first breakout game as a member of the Falcons last week, catching nine of his 10 targets for 84 yards and a touchdown. His presence in the slot is crucial to the Falcons’ offense going forward and his ability to take pressure off of Julio Jones is going to be the difference between the Falcons making a deep playoff push or not making it there at all.
Tonight on a short week I see Sanu continuing his breakout performance from last week. He had 80 yards on eight targets in Week 1 against the Bucs and now here on the road, the Falcons are going to need a second option to go to.
The Bucs’ passing defense hasn’t allowed a ton of yards to opposing receivers, but they have given up a ton of touchdowns. If they are focused on Jones not beating them deep, Sanu is going to be there to clean things up. If he can get another eight to 10 targets on the night, I see him easily going over 45 ½ yards.
