Swinger went 1-2 ATS last week but is determined to put the hammer down on the books and sweep all three of his NFL Week 8 picks. Let’s see what the man has in store for us on Sunday.

Last week was a bummer. We went from the penthouse to the outhouse in one week. Perhaps I’m being a bit hard on myself as we lost only one unit on the Bears against the Bucs, but the Eagles refused to fly, costing us three units.

Our lone winner was the Bengals for two units that not only covered as 6.5-point underdogs but beat the Ravens outright.

Moving on to this week, we like Buffalo as large favorites on the spread and are expecting a shootout in the Cowboys and Vikings game. Here are our NFL Week 8 picks.

Week 8 Picks

Buffalo -13.5 (-109) (????)Indianapolis +1 (-110) (???)Dallas vs. Minnesota Over 54.5 (-108) (??)

Swinger's 2021 NFL picks record: 13-8 ATS (+8.65 units).

Dolphins vs. Bills Picks

Date/Time: Sunday, October 31, 1 p.m. ETTV: CBSLocation: Highmark Stadium, Orchard Park, NY

Allow me to reintroduce myself, my name is Chalky von Chalkowitz from a few weeks ago. Yes, you know, the guy who loves betting chalk and doesn’t care if he’s a square. Well, the public isn’t always wrong and if the Dolphins can hang and bang on the road against an uber-talented Bills team that has had two weeks to dwell on its 34-31 loss to the Titans, then there are parallel dimensions, and time travel is imminently possible.

The Dolphins' offensive line is going to get decimated by the onslaught of Buffalo pass rushers while the Bills Mafia exhorts their heroes for more. This looks like a total mismatch from top to bottom, and the only reason it isn’t a five-unit max play is because the Bills could get disinterested, causing the Fish to get a backdoor cover with all of these points. One thing to note: There's no lookahead game for the Bills as they will face the lowly Jags in Week 9. Lay it and like it.

Titans vs. Colts Picks

Date/Time: Sunday, October 31, 1 p.m. ETTV: CBSLocation: Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis, IN

As square as we looked by betting the Bills, we look super sharp betting the Colts here. I say this because the public should be all over the Titans after they upset Buffalo two weeks ago and then put the boots to the Chiefs. When you slay two giants in two weeks it’s a big deal. You get immediate respect, admiration, and plenty of financial love from Joe Q. Public.

However, the line is dropping and the money is moving hot and heavy on the Colts as they opened as 1.5-point home hounds but they are now actually a one-point favorite at some shops. You can be absolutely certain the public isn’t moving this line, thus we are on the sharp side. Whether it covers or not is a different kettle of fish.

This is a letdown game for the Titans after their two seismic victories. You can also believe that payback is due from the Colts after they lost earlier to the Titans in Tennessee. The Colts will be much healthier for this one than in their Week 3 matchup. In addition, look for a dominating performance by a healthy Carson Wentz, who was hardly well last time. Oh, and don’t forget: The Titans are the same team that lost to the Jets less than a month ago!

Cowboys vs. Vikings Picks

Date/Time: Sunday, October 31, 8:20 p.m. ETTV: NBCLocation: U.S. Bank Stadium, Minneapolis, MN

As I have often stated, I don’t dabble in totals very often but when I do, I normally do quite well. How’s that for self-confidence? Well, let’s put my charming arrogance to the test and go Over the posted total in this one.

I’m just curious as to how the Vikings are going to stop the attack of Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, Amari Cooper, and Ezekiel Elliot? After a bye week, no less! I mean, how’s that happening? But I’m not betting the Cowboys because they’re on the road and the Vikings have an extremely balanced offense with top 10 passing and rushing attacks. Although the Cowboys' secondary has improved with the evolution of Trevon Diggs, I’m not staking my claim on Dallas stopping Cousins to Justin Jefferson, Adam Thielen, and K.J. Osborn. And let’s not forget about Dalvin Cook running the rock.

There are simply too many offensive weapons in this game and we see a shootout in Minneapolis. Let’s fly high and cash a ticket.

Patriots vs. Chargers Picks

Date/Time: Sunday, October 31, 4:05 p.m. ETTV: CBSLocation: Sofi Stadium, Inglewood, CA

The Woodman's Corner: The Woodman (4-3, +0.83 units) got cute last week as the Panthers behaved more like kitty cats in getting trounced by the woeful Giants, 25-3. There’s just something unnatural about the Woodman betting favorites.

This week he’s back on the puppy trail but this time it is with the Patriots plus the points as they do some California dreamin’ in the City of Angels when they meet the Chargers. As the Woodman always says, if you’ve got a hunch, bet a bunch!
