MUST-SEE Clashes: Patriots vs. Dolphins & Packers vs. Broncos
Two divisional rivalries practically leap off the page in week 8: the AFC East clash between the undefeated Patriots and surging Dolphins, as well as the clash of 6-0SU teams – Packers vs. Broncos. The former serves up an intriguing matchup for several reasons, not least the Patriots are looking to maintain their undefeated record at the expense of the revived Dolphins who are enjoying back-to-back winning streaks under interim coach Dan Campbell. Predictably, the Patriots open as the overwhelming 7.5-point home chalk and some books have seen that line creep up to 8-points. Question is whether that line will stay up or come down towards the end of the week as sharp NFL bettors and wise guys weigh in.

In the clash of heavyweights in week 8 that features on Sunday Night Football odds makers shocking install the Denver Broncos as the home underdogs. NFL betting lines opened with the Broncos as the 3-point home dogs and those lines have already moved in either direction from sportsbook to sportbook, some shaving half of a point while others adding a half of a point. It’s certainly rare to find the Broncos matched as the underdogs at home. You can credit the Packers’ solid 6-0 SU on the season to rival the Broncos ahead of week 8. However, the main reason for this unusual market outlook is, arguably, the lack of respect bookies seem too have for Peyton Manning and the Denver offense right now, blatantly calling into question their 6-0 SU record. Put simply: they are not buying it. Whereas the Packers have been more convincing on both sides of the ball and accordingly are believed to be the real deal.

Consensus betting reveals the Packers are amongst the most popular NFL picks at early doors. Still, there’s sure to be a lot of sharp action on the Broncos down the stretch and the NFL betting lines are sure to waver some more.

Other Divisional Rivalries:
The Vikings take on the Bears on the road, a week after recording their first road win in six games. They are matched once again as the road faves but do they really deserve to be so favoured? The Falcons welcome the Bucs to the Georgia Dome in what looks to be a straightforward affair for the home faves. Finally, the Titans and Texans collide in Houston and the Steelers take on the undefeated Bengals at home. Both those matchups feature quarterback question marks, which as the respective NFL odds off the board.

Monday’s Big Matchup: Colts vs. Panthers
The Carolina Panthers have been money at the betting window for NFL bettors through the first seven weeks of the season. Going into week 8, they’ll be looking to underscore that form at the expense of the so-so Indianapolis Colts, whose stock value has come down since the preseason love affair with them all and sundry seemed to be enjoying – one that went so far as outlandish predictions they would win Super Bowl 50. How premature were those now? Well, maybe not so. The Colts are rather fortunate to be in an AFC South division that leaves much to be desired, not unlike the NFC South last season which the Panthers won with a losing 7-9 SU record on the season. The Colts may yet make the playoffs and a run for it. In any event, what pertains to this MNF clash is current form. The Panthers are riding a wave of momentum into week 8, brimming with confidence and swagger. They opened as the 5.5-point home chalk and have since been steadily ascending towards 7-points at most sportsbooks. Some have gone as high as 7.5-points (5Dimes). Most consensus betting reports reveal the public is all over the Panthers at early doors on their NFL picks.
