When shopping for a car you go to multiple dealers to get the best bargain. The same can be said for shopping the NFL odds before you wager. Let’s get a jump on this week’s action and look for the best value before those numbers disappear.

Dolphins vs. Falcons

Despite the fact that the Miami Dolphins copped a 16-10 road win over the Mariota-less Tennessee Titans, the NFL odds have soared quickly on the heavily favored Atlanta Falcons. The line opened at Atlanta -9 but major online sportsbooks have attracted so much money on the home chalk that this line currently stands as high as 12½ at the highly respected 5Dimes. Most of the books are not nearly as generous dealing the Falcons at -11 ½ and some, like BetOnline, are holding fast at -11 on the home team.

Atlanta is fresh off a bye week and looking to atone for their stunning 23-17 loss to the Bills in front of their home crowd. The conventional wisdom is that the Falcons’ offense can score in buckets while the Dolphins are averaging just over 10 points per game through their first four. Barring any unforeseen injury, expect this line to settle at about 12, so depending on your opinion either grab Miami at +12½ or lay the lumber and get down on Atlanta -11 at your favorite online sportsbook.

Lions vs. Saints

Anytime a line moves onto, off of, or through a 3 or a 7 then there is heavy action on that side. Those are the magical numbers and many bookmakers charge a premium to buy off of a three because so many games are decided by a field goal. Therefore, the action on the Saints must be fast and furious as New Orleans opened as three-point home favorites and are now being dealt as high as 5 ½ at 5Dimes. BetDSI, and JustBet are still offering the Saints at -4 but don’t wait too long if you are inclined to include the home chalk in your NFL picks because that number may disappear as well.

Giants vs. Broncos

The Broncos opened as nine-point favorites but injuries decimating the Giants’ receiving corps of Odell Beckham Jr., Sterling Shepard, and Brandon Marshall have seen that number skyrocket. 5Dimes is offering the Giants +13 (-130) which means you will pay a 30 cent vig for the privilege of getting New York at that lofty number. However, if you like the road dog but don’t like the 30 cent premium then I suggest checking out Heritage where they are dealing Big Blue at +12 ½ (-105). For those who believe Denver will crush on Sunday night then shop on over to YouWager where you can still get the Broncos at -11 but don’t wait too long because they may join the rest of the crowd and bump that number up.
