We’re back this week with another comprehensive serving of over-under NFL picks, marking the last round of preseason. Find out where the value NFL picks are to be had.
NFL Preseason Week 3 Recap
At the close of Sunday’s round of NFL games, we settled on an 11-5-0 mark with our over-under NFL picks. Our best yet through the first three weeks of preseason NFL betting.
Overall, we improved to 29-19-0 with our NFL picks in total betting markets. With the last week of preseason before us, join us as we flex our muscles one last time before the NFL 2015-2016 season gets off the ground.
Buccaneers vs. Dolphins O/U 38.0
Tampa Bay have one last chance to get their offense off the ground in week 4 NFL preseason, but a stout Miami Dolphins defense may have other ideas. So far, the Bucs have put up just 48 points while conceding 68 points over three games for a -20-point differential. The Dolphins haven’t gone all out during the preseason either on the offensive side of the ball, but they can be quietly confident about their starters and what they’ve seen from them during the preseason. Two of their three games went UNDER expectations, but they did put up 30 points against the Panthers. We’re of a mind to go with the UNDER as a result. Considering the Bucs put up little fight against the Browns last week in a crushing 31-7 loss, the Dolphins should ride roughshod too.
NFL Picks: OVER 38.0 at Pinnacle
Bengals vs. Colts O/U 39.0
Bengals looked much better in week 3 preseason NFL betting as they handed John Fox and the Chicago Bears their first taste of defeat. Colts, meanwhile, snapped their losing streak in the preseason with a 24-14 win over the Rams. Colts are less likely to risk Andrew Luck and his starting O-line for too long in this game, so we’re leaning towards the UNDER 39 on our NFL picks. Aside from a 36-10 loss to the offensive-minded Eagles in week 1, the Colts have hit the UNDER each time since.
NFL Picks: UNDER 39.0 at 5Dimes
Ravens vs. Falcons O/U 39.5
The Ravens are 1-2 SU in the preseason and coming off a 31-13 loss at home to the Redskins in week 3. John Harbaugh wasn’t entirely pleased with the account. Then again, the Ravens are taking a leisurely approach to the preseason. Come week 1 of NFL betting and they’ll turn on the heat surely. In any event, the Ravens have hit the OVER in all three games after putting up 60 points and conceding 98 points. Falcons have also gone OVER in most cases save for last week’s 13-9 loss to the defensive-minded Dolphins.
NFL Picks: OVER 39.5 at Bet365
Saints vs. Packers O/U 40.0
The Saints are winless in the preseason and somewhat disorganised too. Sean Payton wasn’t best pleased about all the penalties incurred in last week’s 27-13 loss to the Texans. Green Bay Packers are coming off a 39-26 loss to the high-flying Eagles. They are averaging 22.34 points per game in offense and conceding 24.67 points per game. The growing injury list and fear of incurring more injuries before week 1 of the regular season gets under way could see a more conservative approach by the Packers in this final exhibition game, but the Saints defense is more porous than Swiss cheese, having conceded 83 points in three games. Aside from an opening 22-11 win over the Patriots that hit the UNDER, the Packers have cracked set totals in the rest of their games.
NFL Picks: OVER 40.0 at Heritage
Eagles vs. Jets O/U 44.0
If this game doesn’t go OVER 44.0, seismic shockwaves will reverberate through NFL betting markets. Heck, the Eagles alone can put up 44 points if they are of the mind. Soaring like no other team in the preseason they have deposited 115 points, which is an average of 38.33 points scored per game. On the opposite side of the ball, they’ve only conceded 53 points, which is an average of 17.67 points per game.
NFL Picks: OVER 44.0 at The Greek
Jaguars vs. Redskins O/U 40.0
Redskins backup Kirk Cousins has outplayed and outdone RGIII during the preseason that one wonders whether he would have wrestled the starting job from the former No.1 draft pick by his own merit. As it is, we won’t know. RGIII is side lined with a concussion and Kirk Cousins has been named the starter in his stead. In any event, this is the last chance for Kirk Cousins to flex his muscles before week 1 of the regular season starts. A Jaguars side that still has some way to go should be easy pickings.
NFL Picks: OVER 40.0 at BetCris
Panthers vs. Steelers O/U 40.0
After hitting the OVER in their first two games, the Panthers settled on a 17-16 loss at home to the Patriots that saw the UNDER cash. There’s not much to say about the Steelers in the preseason; they’ve taken a rather leisurely approach to the whole thing.
NFL Picks: UNDER 40.0 at WagerWeb
Bills vs. Lions O/U 38.5
Bills really lit up against the Steelers in week 3 NFL betting, alone cracking the 42.5-point total set for the game by odds makers in a 43-19 win. There’s still a quarterback battle in Buffalo, which means that each will do his part to win the job by putting up the numbers on the scoreboard. Look for the Bills to really take it to the Lions under the Dome and push this game OVER the lowly NFL betting expectations currently trading.
NFL Picks: OVER 38.5 at JustBet
Giants vs. Patriots O/U 39.5
The Patriots are looking ahead to a Thursday showdown with Pittsburgh in week 1 NFL betting, Hard to imagine they’ll risk much in this game. The prudent NFL pick does seem to be the UNDER here.
NFL Picks: UNDER 39.5 at Sports Interaction
Browns vs. Bears O/U 38.0
This game figures to be a low scoring affair according to NFL odds makers and pundits alike. Granted the Browns put up 31 points against the hapless Bucs, but the Bears should be a touch tougher to get past, a side that hasn’t allowed second half scoring through three games of the preseason.
NFL Picks: UNDER 38.0 at William Hill
Texans vs. Cowboys O/U 39.0
Cowboys have been largely disinterested in the preseason proceedings, playing their starters minimally and showing no intensity to win games either. Texans, meanwhile, are ironing things out and have been lighting up the scoreboard at every opportunity. Still the 39-points seems a touch high when the Texans have averaged 20-points per game and the Cowboys have averaged a measly 9 points per game.
NFL Picks: UNDER 39.0 at Island Casino
Vikings vs. Titans O/U 38.5
Vikings have been rolling through the preseason and putting up some solid numbers. Look for them to continue the momentum as they wrap up the preseason on a high note. Titans need to iron things out and get ready for week 1 NFL betting, but they aren’t going to take too many risks.
NFL Picks: OVER 38.5 at Bookmaker
Chiefs vs. Rams O/U 39.0
Kansas City Chiefs have been brilliant in the preseason with a 3-0 SU record, which includes 82 points scored and just 42 points conceded for a +40-point differential. They are after steamrolling the Titans 34-10 at Arrowhead. They are 2-1 in OVER-UNDER betting in the preseason. Rams are 0-3 SU in the preseason with a rather meagre 31 points scored and 69 points conceded. Given the Rams’ rather blasé attitude, the Chiefs could run away with this game on the scoreboard.
NFL Picks: OVER 39.0 at YouWager
Cardinals vs. Broncos O/U 38.0
Brock Osweiller has been torching opposing teams through the preseason and he should have another stellar showing against the Cardinals in week 4 of the preseason. Cardinals are a veteran team with an excellent coach and a solid defense. This could go either way.
NFL Picks: OVER 38.0 at Pinnacle
Chargers vs. Niners O/U 37.0
The Chargers have looked solid in the preseason while the Niners have sputtered on the offensive side of the ball. With San Francisco still at the drawing board, everything about this matchup suggests the UNDER on your NFL picks.
NFL Picks: UNDER 37.0 at Heritage
Raiders vs. Seahawks O/U 38.0
In the last lap around the preseason, the Seahawks take on the developing Oakland Raiders. Cardinals just put up 30 points on the Raiders in a 30-23 win. Look for Seattle to take advantage of the Raiders at CenturyLink Field.
NFL Picks: OVER 38 at Bet365
