We are cruising through two weeks of the NFL season with our team and player props, now I am ready to start another week off right with some player props for Thursday Night Football.

LeGarrette Blount O/U 79.5 rushing yards
With Jimmy Garoppolo likely sitting out on the short week, the Patriots are going to be faced with a matchup against a tough defense and down two quarterbacks. It’s not going to be easy to score for either team though.

The Patriots’ defense is still one of the better units in the league and they should hold down Brock Osweiler and company in this one too. On the flip side, with Jacoby Brissett starting for the Patriots, the Texans are going to be blitzing all night and stuffing up the run.

They will want to put the ball in Brissett’s hands and not LeGarrette Blount’s. The Pats’ sledgehammer back should be extra busy in this game, but busy enough to rush for more than 80 yards is another story.

Blount will touch the ball a lot, but he is going to need close to 20 rushing attempts to cash the over in this one, assuming he averages four yards per carry. However, I doubt he sees more than 15 carries, with James White likely getting some work on early downs too. Blount is more realistically going for about 65-70 yards in this one, so take the under.

Will Fuller O/U 69.5 receiving yards
Will Fuller has made his presence known over the first two weeks of the season, going for more than 100 yards in his first two professional games. Fuller’s play is huge for taking pressure off DeAndre Hopkins, but the Texans also had a pretty easy matchup for their receivers in the first two games of the year.

Kansas City ranks 15th in the league in passing yards defended through the first two games and with how banged up Chicago was during their game against the Eagles, it’s surprising they didn’t give up more yards through the air.

Fuller seems like an incredible talent, but on a short week and against the best defense he has played so far in the NFL, I’m sure than Bill Belichick and company will have a game plan for him and Hopkins. Osweiler hasn’t proved that he can beat great defenses just yet and with the possibility that the Texans jump out to an early lead, the amount of passing volume in this game from Houston might be limited.
