With the Week 3 NFL odds just hitting the shelves, can sports bettors find any early value on offer?

After a wild Week 2 that saw injuries galore, Week 3 of the NFL season should be even more interesting. With all of the injuries, some of next week's betting lines by online sportsbooks have yet to be released, but let’s take a look at the ones that do have their opening odds on the table.

Bucs vs. Falcons
The Falcons predictably had a let down in Week 2 against the talented Bengals, but in Week 3 they head back home to play the Bucs. The NFL Odds have the Falcons as a -6 home favorite, and although there are no current odds for the total, it should come out and be in the upper 40s. Tampa’s offense has been very shaky, and it will be tough to keep up with the Falcons.

Packers vs. Lions
Green Bay exploded this past week and held on to beat the Jets, and this week they head into Detroit to play the Lions. The NFL Odds have them anywhere from a pick em' to a +2 underdog, and right now if you’re not running to your bookie to take points with the Packers, you’re crazy.

Titans vs. Bengals
NFL Odds makers have yet to release a total for this matchup, but the spread looks like it will end up favoring the Bengals by a touchdown. The problem is AJ Green had to leave the Bengals’ game this past week with an injury, and if he can’t go, it’s going to strain Cincy’s offense a lot against the Titans’ solid defense.

Raiders vs. Patriots
After a lot of scrutiny after losing to the Dolphins, the Patriots came back and silenced some of their critics after beating the Vikings. Now they play the Raiders, and the NFL Odds have the Pats anywhere from -14 ½ to -16. Early-season worries for New England were probably overstated.

Texans vs. Giants
Much like the Bengals and Titans, this is another very interesting game. The NFL Odds have the Texans as -2 ½ road favorites in the Meadowlands, with a total of 42 points. The Giants look like they may be a pretty bad football team this season, and if they lose to the Texans at home, those concerns will be fully validated.

Chargers vs. Bills
Another very interesting game this week will be the Chargers heading into Buffalo. The NFL Odds opened up with the Bills as -1 favorites, but after beating the Seahawks, the Chargers will probably have the momentum. The total for this one is 44 points.

Colts vs. Jaguars
The Colts have yet to kick off for Week 2, but the NFL Odds for Week 3 have them as a touchdown favorite against the Jaguars in Jacksonville. Depending on the Colts’ game tonight, these NFL Odds should stay right around where they opened on Sunday night.

Ravens vs. Browns
The Ravens are coming off of a much-needed win on Thursday night of Week 2, and after a long week of rest, they get to head into Cleveland to play the Browns. While it won’t be a push over game for the Ravens, the NFL Odds have this game as a pick em’ currently, with a total of 41 ½ points. I would not be surprised to see the Ravens as road favorites by the time we get to Sunday afternoon, so if you like them, add them to your sports picks now.

Broncos vs. Seahawks
Although it isn’t Sunday night, America’s game of the week is a rematch from the Super Bowl. Denver heads into Seattle this week and the NFL Odds have the Hawks as -4 ½ or -5 favorites, with a total of 49 points. The Hawks may be slightly undervalued after losing to the Chargers in Week 2, and playing at home, the Hawks may be the play here.

Steelers vs. Panthers
Sunday night’s game should also be a very intriguing matchup, as the Steelers head into Carolina. The Steelers will be coming off of some long rest, but the NFL Odds still have them as +3 ½ underdogs, with a total of 41 ½. There could be a lot of good value in these odds if the Steelers can turn things around, however the Panthers are now 2-0 after a big win against the Lions in Week 2. This could be a game to just watch, because even if the value is there, it might not be too big.
