Believe it or not, Week 2 is already here, and there are some nice team prop values for your NFL picks from bet365 this weekend. With another week of multiple home underdogs, there might be value all over the place this weekend if you know where to look.
Falcons vs. Giants First Team To 10 Points
In what should be one of the more entertaining games of the week, the Falcons and Giants hook up from MetLife Stadium this weekend. Right now bet365 has the Falcons at +100 to get to 10 points first, and I am taking the bait for my first prop of the weekend. Atlanta’s offense has a solid run game now, and with Julio Jones good to go this week after not practicing some with a hamstring injury, the Giants simply don’t have enough on defense to slow down this now very diverse Atlanta offense. Sure, the Falcons don’t play as well on the road, but in their last four road games last season, in a year they were much worse off than this one, they would have been 3-1 in this prop. The only one they lost was that epic game against the Packers in Green Bay late in the season. Atlanta’s defense seems good enough to hold down a Giants offense that didn’t look great last week, and get out to the 10-point mark first.
My Pick: Falcons (+100) at bet365
Tampa Bay Buccaneers O/U 17.5 points
I understand that Jameis Winston had a pretty bad game last week. However, he could go a long way this week in making everyone forget about that if he can hang tough with Drew Brees on the road this week. The Saints’ defense is somewhere between bad and really bad, and with Mike Evans potentially coming back this week, the Bucs’ offensive weapons are too good not to beat this Saints’ defense for two or three touchdowns this week. On that turf inside the Super Dome, the Tampa receivers are going to burn down the field, and Winston has the arm to get the ball to them. I think the sportsbooks are overreacting a lot to Winston’s first game. I see at least 20 points for Tampa this week if Evans plays, so take the value of the over for your NFL picks here.
My Pick: OVER 17.5 (-110) at bet365
Ravens vs. Raiders: Team To Win Both Halves
Even though is appears that Derek Carr will get the start for the Raiders this week, I still think the Baltimore offense will wake up in this one on the road against a below average Raiders defense. On top of that, the Ravens defense looked like they could be one of the better units in all of football last week, despite losing Terrell Suggs for the rest of the season. I could see the Ravens running up the score this week, and with NFL odds of +150 to do so, the reward is there for a solid all around performance for the Baltimore.
My Pick: Ravens to win both halves (+150) at bet365
