After a marginally successful Week 1, I’m back once again for my Sunday best bets; prop edition. There are several NFL odds from Bet365 that are rather intriguing, and there is lot’s of value too.

New Orleans Saints vs. Cleveland Browns
Isaiah Crowell TD Scored

With Ben Tate going down last week, the Cleveland Browns are going to have to turn to a rookie tandem of running backs to get them through the next few weeks as Tate mends. Terrence West will likely handle a majority of the carries, but young undrafted rookie, Isaiah Crowell is looming for some goal line touches. He scored twice last week after Tate went down, and he should be in for a more expanded role this week. He will likely handle all of the Browns goal line work, and even though they are playing the Saints, the Browns are still going to try and run the ball a lot. Crowell didn’t go undrafted because of his talent, and that will start to show if he gets more work. I could see Crowell sneaking into the end zone for another touchdown this week.

Chicago Bears vs. San Francisco 49ers
Martellus Bennett TD Scored

The big tight end in Chicago might be in for an expanded workload this week against the 49ers on Sunday Night Football. Both Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery are banged up after Chicago’s Week 1 loss to the Bills, and if one or both of them can’t play, Bennett will be the main beneficiary. However even with the possibility that Bennett could see double-digit targets, his touchdown numbers at Bet365 are a steal right now, especially if the Chicago Bears’ receivers are missing. He is +190 to score a touchdown, and only has to get 45 yards receiving to cash the over in his yards prop. I cannot shy away from a value like +190 for one of the Bears’ forgotten red zone threats. He scored a touchdown last week, and there is nothing that says he can’t do it again. The Niners will most likely have to rely on Patrick Willis to cover Bennett, and he is of course normally an outside linebacker. He held Jason Witten in check last week, but Bennett is much bigger and faster than Witten.

Vernon Davis O/U 55.5 Receiving Yards
Last week Vernon Davis only had four catches and 44 yards, but he had two touchdowns to go along with it. This week he faces a Bears’ defense that is weak against the tight end, and he could be in for another big day. However I think he will do it with more yards this week. Chicago’s red zone defense should be pretty good this season, but in between the 20s, they are going to give up yards. With solid corners, and pretty bad safety and line backing play, Davis should find himself open a lot in this Sunday Night Game. Last season Davis averaged 20 more receiving yards per game when playing at home opposed to on the road. He averaged 67 yards per game when playing in San Francisco, and that would lead him to cashing the over for Sunday night’s prop NFL pick.
