In the final week of the NFL regular season the betting odds are a little slow to open, but below I have highlighted six games with playoff implications, and some of their early NFL Picks value.
Colts vs. Titans
Indianapolis got smashed against the Cowboys this past Sunday afternoon, and even though they are still the AFC South champs, they just really hurt their chances at a home game in the first round. That could change if the Broncos beat the Bengals tonight, but either way, this is a must win for the Colts if they want a home game. The NFL Odds have them as solid -7 favorites on the road, with a total of 47.
Browns vs. Ravens
The Ravens are in the playoffs with a win and a little help this week, and the NFL Odds have them anywhere from -8 to -10 favorites against the Browns this week. Johnny Manziel got knocked out of the game after trying to take on a safety in Week 16, so who knows who will start at quarterback for the Browns this week. Either way, it looks like a game where the Ravens are going to be hungry for an easy win.
Chargers vs. Chiefs
Speaking of the help that that the Ravens need, the city of Baltimore will be waiving their tomahawks this week, in hopes of a Chargers loss. Right now the NFL Odds don’t have a total out for this game, but the spread is firmly in favor of the Chiefs at -2 ½. San Diego has what it takes to win this game and to keep their spot, but this one is going to be tough will all of the skill player injuries for the Chargers.
Panthers vs. Falcons
The game that will decide the NFC South is between the Falcons and Panthers! Who would have thought that eight weeks ago? Can the Falcons fire Mike Smith after a 7-9-playoff season if they win this game at home? There are too many things that are too awesome about this game to get into in about 100 words, but Sportsbooks like BetOnline have the Falcons as -3 ½ favorites right now. However there is once again no total as of late Monday morning.
Rams vs. Seahawks
Here we go again with the Seahawks. A win here against the Rams and they will once again enjoy home field throughout the playoffs. Four weeks ago this would have seemed impossible, but it’s happening, folks. The Rams are going to be no pushovers. They lost last week but played pretty well against the Giants outside of a rough first half defensively. Right now only two books have NFL Odds for this game, and they are all the way to -13 and -13 ½ in favor of the Hawks. It would surprise me if they stayed that high throughout the week, but if it does, the Rams might have great value as that big of an underdog.
Lions vs. Packers
The game that will decide the NFC North goes through Green Bay again this season, as they welcome in the Lions to cheese world. The NFL Odds have the Packers as -7 favorites, with a total of 48 points. The Lions looked good overall against the Bears, but Matt Stafford did not, throwing two interceptions and no touchdowns. Either way both of these 11-4 teams are in the playoffs, but it’s interesting for this game because the winner could still be in line for a bye. Even though the AFC is pretty much wrapped up other than seeding, the NFC is still a very interesting story in Week 17.
