The NFL odds for this game was taken down as it was reported that Saints QB Drew Brees is hurt, so the oddsmakers are waiting on that. Some books have the Saints favored by 3.5. Brees hurt his foot in a 35-27 loss to Detroit at home on Monday night, but he played better after he hurt the foot, so it wouldn't be a surprise if he played. Still, the Saints have a lot of questions to ask going into the offseason. No one knows if head coach Sean Payton will be there next season, and Brees isn't even a lock. Then there is a defense that is 31st in yards allowed and 32nd in points allowed. The Jaguars' offense is on the ascent, although they struggled in a 23-17 loss to Atlanta. Jacksonville has a lot of good, young pieces on that side of the ball, led by QB Blake Bortles, but they also have a shaky defense. The Jaguars are 20th in yards allowed, and 30th in points allowed. Both have a lot of work to do on both sides of the ball, and a healthy Brees would almost guarantee a shootout.

The Jaguars are banged up at RB, as T.J. Yeldon has a knee injury while Denard Robinson hurt his foot. They don't need to be rushed back as the Jaguars aren't making the playoffs, but they're both listed as questionable for now.

Brees is day-to-day with his foot injury, but it is the same one that knocked Peyton Manning out of the lineup for Denver. He wants to play and it might very well be his final game in New Orleans, so the Saints will give him every opportunity to be ready for Sunday. If he doesn't play, the Saints will go with either Matt Flynn or Garrett Grayson.

The Jaguars are 7-6-1 ATS overall this season, and 3-2-1 ATS on the road, while the Saints are 6-7-1 ATS and 3-3-1 ATS at home. There is no total yet, but the Saints have gone over eight times, along with a push. The Jaguars have gone over nine times.

The Saints are 3-2 SU and 4-1 ATS in five meetings with the Jaguars, who are 0-2 SU and ATS in their two trips to New Orleans.
