Opening Odds & Line Movement
Open: -12.5 -105 at Pinnacle
The Chiefs opened as 12.5-point favorites at home, which is where the NFL odds are as they prepare to host the Browns. Cleveland was overmatched in a 30-13 loss in Seattle, but they at least showed some fight. QB Johnny Manziel was 19-of-32 for 161 yards, a touchdown and an interception, but he wasn't asked to do much. The Chiefs continued their roll as they routed Baltimore 34-14 on the road, and while they have been aided by a soft schedule, you still have to take care of business. The Chiefs lead a trio of 9-5 teams, along with Pittsburgh and the New York Jets, who are battling for two wild-card spots. However, Denver is struggling, so the AFC West is still in play for the Chiefs, who are eighth in yards allowed and third in points allowed. That seems like a recipe for disaster for Manziel and company. Turnovers could play a factor in this game: Kansas City is second in the league with a +15 turnover ratio, while the Browns are tied for 27th at -8. If the Browns can't take care of the ball, this could get ugly in a hurry.

The Browns have also been hurt by injuries this season, and they've lost G John Greco to a knee injury. His sprained MCL doesn't need surgery, but the Browns are trying to get healthy for next season.

LB Justin Houston still isn't back from his knee injury, but the Chiefs might be letting him get back to 100%. Their soft schedule has allowed them to keep Houston on the sidelines as they might be able to make the postseason without him, and then let him loose.

Cleveland is 4-9-1 ATS this season, going 2-5 ATS on the road, while the Chiefs are 8-6 ATS and 3-3 ATS at home. The total is set for 42.5, and both teams have gone over eight times, while the Browns have a push as well.

The Chiefs are 4-3 SU and 3-4 ATS in seven meetings with the Browns, who are 1-2 SU and 2-1 ATS in Kansas City.
