Opening Odds & Line Movement
Open: -1 -105 at Pinnacle
The Buccaneers opened up the NFL odds  as a 1-point favorites on the road before the line moved to a pick 'em. Then the Rams were favored by a point and then -1.5, which is where the line is as of Tuesday. Tampa Bay showed they were still a young team with their 24-17 loss to the Saints, and that was a game they needed to win to make the postseason. They need a few things to break their way, but the Bucs aren't completely out of it in the NFC. The Rams halted a five-game skid with a 21-14 win over Detroit at home with RB Todd Gurley racking up 140 yards and two scores on just 16 carries. Gurley and Tampa Bay QB Jameis Winston are two of the top offensive rookies this season, so that is something to watch. It could also be the final home game that the Rams play in St. Louis as the team could be moved, so that is hanging over the game as well.

Injuries
It is bad news for the Bucs as WR Vincent Jackson has been hobbled by injuries all season, and a sprained MCL will likely cost him the rest of the campaign. That means teams can double WR Mike Evans with impunity on the other side, but Jackson needs to sit and get healthy for next season. LB Bruce Carter left the Saints game with a foot injury and it doesn't look good for him.

For the Rams, Gurley has a banged-up knee, but the expectation is that he will play on Thursday night.

Trends
The Bucs are 7-6 ATS this season, going 4-2 ATS on the road, while the Rams are 5-7-1 ATS overall and 4-3 ATS at home. The total for this game is set for 41, and the Rams are one of two teams to go under 10 times this season (Atlanta is the other). The Bucs have gone under seven times.

The two have split 10 meetings since 2000 both SU and ATS, while the Bucs are 1-3 SU and 2-2 ATS in four trips to St. Louis.
