Week 15 is on the NFL odds board and there are several matchups that practically leap off the page as considerable betting opportunities.  We shine the spotlight on a few games and serve up our NFL picks for your consideration.

Redskins +6.5 vs. Giants -6.5
Now that Eli Manning remembers what it's like to win and the Giants snapped their horrendous losing streak, they can relax. Their season is over as far as the post season is concerned. They have nothing to lose and a lot to atone for in front of their home fans.

Last week, the Giants beat the hapless Tennessee Titans 36-7, coming through as the slight road favourites for their backers. Manning went 26-of-42 for 260 yards and a touchdown (one interception) to snap a seven-game losing streak. Overall, the Giants accounted for 402 yards in total offense (260 passing and 142 rushing). This week they have another NFL weakling to contend with in a home affair that is firmly cornered in their camp on the NFL odds board.

Redskins were blanked by the Rams in a 24-0 loss at home last week. They could only muster up 206 yards of total offense en route to the defeat behind the joint efforts of Colt McCoy and RGIII (the latter making a brief appearance late in the game after McCoy suffered a sprained neck). The loss marked the Redskins fifth straight loss and fifth double-digit loss this season.

With the quarterback dilemma revived in Washington, this game is tailor made for a Giants win and cover. Redskins are merely 2-4 SU on the season, which includes a 1-6 SU record on the road. If RGIII starts, it's worth keeping in mind the Redskins are winless when he's calling the plays this season. Take the Giants on your NFL picks.

Texans +6.5 vs. Colts -6.5
Indianapolis Colts and Houston Texans collide in a must-win game for both teams. Colts lead the division with a 9-4 SU record but the Texans are nipping at their heels with a 7-6 SU record. Most recently, the Colts needed a last-gasp touchdown scoring drive to beat the Browns while the Texans took care of business in a straightforward 27-13 win over the Jaguars on the road.

Texans have won two straight games to get back into the playoff conversation. Earlier this season, they lost a heartbreaker to the Colts at home 33-28. They'll have redemption on their minds when they take on the Colts in week 15 NFL betting. Granted it may be a lot to expect the Texans to outright beat the Colts, but anything is possible at this late stage of the season when everything is on the line. If the Raiders can beat the Niners, the Rams can upend the Broncos and the Panthers can traipse into the Superdome and win (just some of the shockers this season), who is to say the Texans can't beat the Colts. Those looking to back the Texans as the tempting +230 road underdogs could do no worse.

The sharp NFL betting pick is found on the spread of 6.5-points, which does seem to be a lot of points to be giving the hosts. The Colts are 5-2 ATS at home with a 10.7-point margin of victory but those wins and hefty margin of victory are at the expense of NFL weaklings, mainly. If the Texans continue on their momentum, they can keep this close. Shade the Texans to keep this a close, riveting divisional clash on your NFL picks.
