There are no NFL odds for this game yet at most shops as the quarterback situation on both sides isn’t fully clear. The Texans announced that QB Brian Hoyer won't play and T.J. Yates would get the start. As for the Colts, we’re not 100% sure that Matt Hasselbeck will get the green light after he was banged up last week. Hoyer was hurt in a 27-6 loss to New England on Sunday night in which they battled gamely, but injuries are catching up them, although their defense is doing all they can to keep Houston in it. The Colts were destroyed 51-16 in Jacksonville for their first AFC South loss in 16 games, and with Hasselbeck also injured, it could mean that it's Charlie Whitehurst time. Indianapolis is in trouble after losing their last two games by a combined score of 96-26 at Pittsburgh and Jacksonville. They had five more turnovers in those games to take them to 27, the worst in the league. The Texans, meanwhile, are 25th in points scored and playing an Indianapolis defense that is 27th in points allowed might be just what the doctor ordered.

Hoyer has a concussion, so that means Yates will start for the Texans. Yates started in a win over the New York Jets last month and has plenty of experience stepping for the Texans, so it isn't a major blow to have Hoyer sitting. This is Hoyer's fifth concussion and second in a month, which is going into dangerous territory. DE J.J. Watt (hand), LB Brian Cushing (unknown) and DE Jadeveon Clowney (back) didn't practice on Wednesday, but they should be ready by Sunday.

Hasselbeck didn't practice on Wednesday because of his ribs, so that'll have to be monitored. CB Greg Toler didn't play last week because of his knee and of course, QB Andrew Luck is out with his lacerated kidney. Luck was at practice with a non-contact jersey on, but he doesn't know if he'll be back this season.

Both teams are 6-7 ATS this season, with the Texans coming in at 2-4 ATS on the road and the Colts, 3-3 ATS at home. There is no total as it will come out with the line, but both have gone over seven times this season

The Colts are 8-2 SU (six wins in a row) and 7-2-1 ATS in their last 10 meetings with the Texans, who have never won in Indianapolis. Houston is 0-13 SU in road games against the Colts, and 4-8-1 ATS.
