Color the world shocked if the Vikings don’t bounce back at the expense of the hopless Jaguars. Here’s a mini-betting preview replete with choice NFL picks to spot.

Minnesota Vikings vs Jacksonville Jaguars

Point Spread Value

The Vikings take a 7-5-0 ATS record into week 14 NFL betting, a run of form that is comprised of a 6-6-0 SU record and includes a 2.0 winning margin and +1.1 differential versus the spread. The Vikings have been failing NFL bettors since a week 6 bye, coming out losers more often than not across betting markets. If there’s one thing they have going for them in this matchup, it’s the fact that the Jaguars are godawful with a 2-10-0 SU record that includes a 1-5 SU record at home (except the lone win came in London). At EverBank, the Jaguars are 1-4 ATS with a -7.2 losing margin and -8.3 differential versus the spread.

The Survivor

If the Vikings don’t win this game they might as well throw in the towel for the season. It’s been a steady decline since a week 6 bye as they’ve lost six of their last seven to slip to a 6-6-0 SU record. It’s not as if they faced stiff opposition either – losses to the Bears, Eagles, and Redskins one could argue were headscratchers. However, this is one that if they lose all faith will go out of the window.

Game Total

The Vikings are consistent UNDER performers with a 4-8-0 O/U record through 12 games. Five of their last seven games cashed on the UNDER, including last Thursday’s 17-15 loss to the Cowboys. The Jaguars are 7-5-0 in O/U betting but that’s largely down to the inconsistencies on both sides of the ball. Four of their last seven games cashed on the OVER, but, crucially, against defensively sound Chiefs, Lions, and Broncos they went decidedly UNDER.
