The NFL odds makers offer lines on virtually every game as soon as the previous week is finished. Let’s take a look at some early interesting line shifts and see where the money is moving these lines.

1:00 PM ET 49’ers vs. Texans

Despite the fact that the 49’ers captured their second win of the season last week under the command of newly-acquired quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, the money is moving towards the Texans in this week’s matchup.

The NFL odds opened with the home team Texans laying 1 ½ points but as of this early Tuesday morning writing that number has spiked to Houston -3 at major online sportsbooks like Bookmaker, Bovada, Heritage, and Youwager. Those are the books to hit if you are looking for San Francisco’s good times to continue rolling under the charge of Sweet Jimmy G. However, if you want to follow the money then take a look at 5Dimes, BetOnline, and Intertops as those books are offering Houston at -2 ½.

1:00 PM ET Vikings vs. Panthers

You have my sincerest congratulations if you have been including the Vikings in your NFL picks this season. Minnesota has been a veritable ATM, leading the NFC North with a 10-2 record and covering in seven of those 10 contests. This week the money is rolling their way as the oddsmakers opened the visitors as one-point favorites but it didn’t take long for that number to jump to three at most of the majors. If you are willing to lay the bigger number I would suggest clicking over to 5Dimes, Intertops, and Heritage where they are offering Minny -2 ½ for all those convinced that the Vikings will cash yet again.

1:00 PM ET Cowboys vs. Giants

The return of Eli and the firing of head coach Bob McAdoo and general manager Jerry Reese is the storyline heading into this age-old NFC East tilt. Despite Dallas’s impressive thumping of the Redskins and the 10-day respite they will enjoy heading into this clash, emotion appears to be playing heavily into the influx of Giants’ money. The opener had the visiting Cowboys at -6 but that number is long gone and hard to find as books like Pinnacle, 5Dimes, BetOnline, and Intertops are all dealing the Boyz at -4, with the lone exception of Bovada as one of the few major online sportsbooks holding firm at -6.

Monday 8:30 PM ET Patriots vs. Dolphins

Perhaps the drama surrounding Rob Gronkowski’s absurd late hit on Buffalo’s Tre'Davious White, which led to his one-game suspension, is more compelling than the line shift in this game. The Pats opened as 12-point road chalk and that number has only slightly dipped to New England -11 at most of the online sportsbooks.

The Patriots have covered in six straight contests but the Dolphins’ 35-9 trouncing of the Broncos last week, coupled with Gronkowski’s absence for this game, brought the number down just a bit. 5Dimes is bucking that trend and giving Miami bettors a nice number at +12 ½ but nothing in life is free and those favoring the home dog will pay -125 to get that tempting number.
