Believe it or not, there are only five weeks of the NFL regular season left, and after a successful season of prop betting; let’s finish the year out strong. It has once again reached that point in the week where I release my three best player props from bet365.
Rashad Jennings O/U 36.5 Rushing Yards
The Giants running game has been a mess this season, and they border on the worst running team with the most talent. Rashad Jennings, Andre Williams and Shane Vereen are all three capable backs, but the Giants always seem to use the wrong one. Orleans Darkwa has even seen some work out of the backfield for the Giants over the last five or six weeks. Needless to say, Jennings presents an interesting under play here against the very good Jets run defense. The Giants might not even try to run the ball this week. With Darrelle Revis out and Marcus Williams doubtful, if I were Tom Coughlin and Ben McAdoo I would throw the ball 50 times on the Jets, and run it about 10 times. With all of the backs in the crowded backfield for the Giants, it’s hard to see Jennings even getting enough work to get close to 37 or more rushing yards. Before last week he saw double digit carries for three straight weeks, and would have cashed the over on this total in all three of those games. However, last week Jennings got six carries for 14 yards, and I expect a similar outcome this week against a Jets team that might even be leading in this game.
NFL Picks: UNDER 37.5 (-120) at bet365
Matt Ryan O/U 292.5 Passing Yards
The Falcons head back on the road this week to play the Bucs in a big NFC south game. If Atlanta can win this game on the road, and if Seattle loses to the Vikings, Atlanta would be back in the playoff club with four games to go. The Bucs are also searching for a big win to help their playoff chances. If they can beat Atlanta this week, and if Seattle also loses, they would jump into the playoffs based on what could be their 5-3 NFC record this season SU. Needless to say, this should be one of the more hotly contested games this week, and with Ryan on the road, there will come passing. Ryan is averaging nearly 300 passing yards per game on the road this season, and even more importantly, Devonta Freeman is back this week for the Falcons, which should open up plenty of holes in the Bucs secondary. Freemand being back will load the box back up and leave someone on the Falcons with a mismatch. NFL odds makes know that the Bucs have given up 300 yards passing in four of their last seven games this season, and I see Ryan exploiting them this week too.
NFL Picks: OVER 292.5 (-120)
Odell Beckham Jr. O/U 92.5 Receiving Yards
We have somewhat already talked about what makes Odell Beckham a great play this week. With Revis out, no one is good enough to hold down Beckham this week. The Giants are going to likely abandon the run against this stout Jets front seven, and they could also be playing from behind in this one, which would force the ball to Beckham and the Giants’ receivers even more. Wide receivers have been targeted against the Jets a total of 278 times already this season, which is the most in the NFL. The Jets have given up 170 yards per game to opposing wide receivers this year, and in only two of those games did they hold their opponent’s receivers to less than 100 yards. Beckham is on pace to at least match if not exceed his standout rookie season, and in his last four games he has been targeted 56 times. He caught 30 of those targets for 120 yards per game on average, and with no Revis Island to worry about, go over and go heavy with your NFL picks.
NFL Picks: OVER 92.5 (-115)
