The Week 13 NFL Odds are out and ready for the taking, and I have identified several that have excellent teaser value. All of these are two team, and 6-point teasers, and all of them payout as a straight wager of -110.
Steelers & Titans
This is probably my favorite combination, and it has one Thanksgiving Day game. The Steelers are +3 underdogs in the NFL Odds this week in Baltimore, and teasing them up to +9 has to have great value. There two teams always play one another close, and it being on a short week should exaggerate that even more. The last time these two got together, the final score was 19-16 in favor of the Steelers in Pittsburgh. Even though they might not win, I think +9 is excellent value in what should theoretically be a one-possession game when the final horn sounds.
The Titans are in Indianapolis to play the Colts this week, and the NFL Odds have them as +4 underdogs. Teasing the up to +10 to go along with the Steelers seems like great value this weekend. The Colts have been playing horribly, and over their last few weeks, the Titans have been playing very improved defense. They have given up less than 100 yards rushing in their last three games, and their pass defense is still very good. I like their chances of an upset, let along a cover of their teaser odds.
My Pick: 2-team teaser Steelers +9 & Titans +10
Jaguars & Panthers
This is my risky teaser of the week, because as you can see I’m including the Jags in it. Jacksonville is on the road in Cleveland this weekend, and with the quarterback situation the Browns have been dealing with recently and all season, I actually like Jacksonville’s chances. They opened up as +7 underdogs in the Dog House this weekend, and teasing them up to +13 should be enough. The Jags have been competitive and winning over the last few weeks, and I think they can continue here.
The Panthers are the only true favorite I am including this week, and they are -8 ½ favorites in the NFL Odds this week at home against the Bucs. Carolina has been playing great football recently, and even with the loss of Charles Johnson, their pass rush and front seven are still very good. I think they will give the Bucs a ton of trouble in that area, and I see them winning by at least a field goal.
My Pick: 2-team teaser, Jaguars +13 & Panthers -2 ½
Cardinals & Saints
If the Steelers and Titans are my favorite teaser combination, then the Cardinals and the Saints are not far behind. The Cards look like a dark horse Super Bowl candidate over the last few weeks, and they are al the way across the country in Philadelphia this weekend. The NFL Odds have them as +3 underdogs, and while it may be a little risky teasing a team that traveled across the country, I think +9 is plenty for the Cardinals and their defense. They should be able to move the ball on the poor Philly defense, and their defense should do the trick on the Chip Kelly offense.
Finally, the Saints head into Seattle to play the Seahawks, in what is regarded as the matchup of the week. The NFL Odds have the Seahawks as -6 favorites in some instances, and I could not like the Saints more. At their teaser price of +12, I think New Orleans has excellent value. The Seattle defense has not played well over the last three of four weeks, and with the injuries to their secondary, I think the Saints will be great value for you NFL Picks.
