The favorites dominated the CFL last week with a perfect 4-0 straight-up record and a 3-1 mark against the spread. We now turn our attention to Week 13 of the regular season.

The drive towards the 2014 CFL Grey Cup Playoffs is in full gear, and I have dug deep into all the facts, stats and figures for all four matchups on this week’s slate as well as the recent betting trends and ATS results to come up with this week’s CFL Two-Team Parlay based on betting odds by 5Dimes.

Game 1: Edmonton Eskimos vs. Hamilton Tiger-Cats

Pointspread: Hamilton -1

Total Line: 52

Betting Preview
Edmonton bounced-back from a rough home-and-home meltdown against Calgary both straight-up and against the spread with a 33-16 pasting of Montreal last week as a nine-point home favorite. Mike Reilly was back at the helm as quarterback and he completed 10 throws to slotback Adarius Bowman for 131 yards as part of his 271 passing yards on the day. Bowman leads the CFL in receiving with 997 yards on the year.

Hamilton comes into this matchup with a SU record of just 3-7 (4-6), but that is good enough for first place in the watered-down East Division. Zach Collaros missed most of the first half of the season at quarterback, but he has quickly returned to form 287 yards passing and two scores in Sunday’s 28-3 victory over Saskatchewan with the Tiger-Cats favored by 2.5 points at home.

Betting Trends
The Eskimos are 9-3 SU in their last 12 games and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games on the road. The total has stayed 'under' in four of their last five road games.

The Tiger-Cats have failed to cover in five of their last six games and they are just 2-5 ATS in their last seven home games. The total has stayed 'under' in 13 of their last 18 games.

Edmonton comes into this inter-division matchup with a 6-14 record ATS in its last 20 meetings and the total has gone 'over' in four of the last six games played in Hamilton. The Eskimos drew first blood this season with a 28-24 victory but they could not cover as 4.5 point favorites at home. The total stayed under the closing 54-point line.

Betting Prediction
Hamilton is coming off a big win but it was against a toothless Roughriders team that just lost its starting quarterback Darian Durant. Things will be different this week with Reilly throwing the ball to Bowman. Take the point on the road as the Eskimos win this game SU to secure the front-end of this week’s parlay sports pick.

Game 2: Calgary Stampeders vs. Montreal Alouettes

Pointspread: Calgary -7.5

Total Line: 48

Betting Preview
Calgary is by far the class if the CFL this season with a SU 10-1 record though its first 11 games. It brings a SU six-game winning streak into this Sunday’s contest and last week’s 40-33 victory over Toronto was the first time the Stampeders failed to cover during this winning streak. They are averaging 30.2 points per game on offense and their defense is tops in the league in points-allowed (18.3)

It has been a rough season for the Alouettes with a 3-8 SU (4-7 ATS) record in their first 11 games. While their offense has shown some signs of life with quarterback Jonathan Crompton at the helm with an average of 24.6 points per game in their last three outings, he took a step backwards last week by completing just 55.5 percent of his 27 attempts for 169 yards in the 17-point loss to Edmonton.

Betting Trends
The Stampeders are 5-1 ATS in their last six games overall and they have covered ATS in their last five games on the road. The total has stayed 'under' in 11 of their last 15 games.

The Alouettes have just two SU victories in their last nine games and they are 3-6 ATS during this slide. The total has stayed 'under' in 15 of their last 23 home games.

Calgary is 6-1 SU in the last seven meetings and they have covered the spread in the last five games between the two. The Stampeders opened the 2014 season with a 29-8 victory over Montreal as 7.5-point favorites at home. The total in this series has gone 'over' in 12 of the last 18 games played in Montreal.

Betting Prediction
The Stampeders have been unstoppable this season and last week’s close call against Toronto will actually help to motivate this team to keep the gas on the peddle in this Sunday’s game. Lay the 7.5 points and take Calgary in the back-end of my Week 13 CFL pick two-team parlay.
