Week 11 NFL Betting Recap

Chiefs-370  vs. Raiders +290
The Chiefs descend on the winless Raiders on a verve and swagger behind a pivotal 24-20 win over the defending champions Seattle Seahawks in week 11 NFL betting. The win marked their fifth win in a row and saw them draw level with the Denver Broncos atop the AFC West Standings. If the Chiefs hope to continue piling the pressure onto the Broncos, this is a must-win game. The Raiders have shown a pulse in recent weeks despite their 0-10 SU record. That said, beating the Chiefs who have clear playoff intentions is more than any NFL bettor could expect. Take the Chiefs as the -375 road favourites to win SU on your NFL picks.

NFL Picks: Chiefs -370

Bengals +105 vs. Texans -125
Had this game occurred earlier in the season, the Bengals would have probably been installed as the firm road favourites. Given their negative trend of late and 3-3-1 SU record in their last seven games, the betting public has gone soft on the Bengals. By contrast, the Texans have been impressive both in their wins and defeats. They might be just 5-5 SU and 2-2 SU at home, but many are buying what they are selling. At -125 NFL odds to win at home, they loom the savvy NFL pick.

NFL Picks: Texans -125

Browns +150 vs. Falcons -170
The NFL betting market on this game is a bit higgledy-piggledy. Browns boast the better 6-4 SU record and are sat at the bottom of the very competitive AFC North. The Falcons boast a 4-6 SU record and are sat atop a subpar NFC South. Falcons' appear to be on the mend with a two-game winning streak while the Browns dropped a crucial game last week to the Texans. Consider the Falcons beat Tampa Bay and Carolina over the course of the last two weeks, how much stock should NFL bettors put into wins over struggling teams. Browns have gotten the better of quality outfits such as the Steelers, Saints and Bengals this season, eyebrow raising wins that speak to their quality this term. In more ways than one this is a must-win game for both sides if they hope to make the playoffs. On the balance of their seasons, the Browns are clearly the better team and, as such, loom as the better NFL pick as road underdogs.

NFL Picks: Browns +150

Lions +260 vs. Patriots -320
New England Patriots have been defying the NFL odds consistently since a week 4 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Most recently, the cashed as road underdogs in Indianapolis. Yet, for some reason, bookies aren't giving them the respect they deserve. How is it that the Patriots are priced at just -320 at home, where they are undefeated in the last 14 games dating back to last season, and the Chiefs are priced as high as -370 on the road to the Raiders. Granted, the Lions pose a tough customer on the road. Surely a 14-0 SU record that includes a 13.1-point winning margin and a 5-0 SU record at home this season with a 17-point winning margin speaks volumens.

NFL Picks: Patriots -320

Packers -500 vs. Vikings +375
Packers have won two in a row, six of their last seven games. Five of which were absolute blowout wins both home and away. Predictably, the Packers are the runaway favourites on week 12's NFL odds board. The momentum and form they're riding should continue at the expense of the Vikings. on the road this week. Vikings are just 2-2 SU at home and come into this game following a disappointing road loss to the Chicago Bears, the same side the Packers thrashed at Lambeau in week 10 NFL betting.

NFL Picks: Packers -500

Jaguars +650 vs. Colts -1000
This is the most lopsided game available on the NFL trading floor in week 12. Colts are the prohibitive -1000 favourites to win SU. The notion the Jaguars would mastermind the upset is wildly optimistic, few bettors would back. Indeed, Indianapolis have this market cornered wholeheartedly.

NFL Picks: Colt -1000

Jets +160 vs. Bills -180
The divisional clash between the Jets and Bills is shaping up to be an important game for the hosts if they hope to keep any postseason hopes alive. The Bills have lost their last two games, 17-13 to the Chiefs and 22-9 to the Dolphins. They are desperate to bounce back against AFC East basement dwellers Jets, who are 2-8 SU and coming off a 20-13 win over the Steelers and a bye win week 11. Weather forecasts for this matchup are worsening by the day, which could have an impact. That said almost 60% of the public is behind the Bills. Just because the Jets recorded a win a fortnight ago, doesn't mean they've righted the ship.

NFL Picks: Bills -180

Buccaneers +210 vs. Bears -250
The Bucs pulled off their second upset of the season when they beat the Redskins on the road in week 11 NFL betting. Can they pull off a second straight upset against a Bears' side that is still an uncertainty in the broad spectrum of NFL betting. The Bears have underachieved this season. They are after a win over the Vikings at Soldier Field, their first win of the season at home. To date, they are just 1-3 SU at home and 4-6 SU on the season. Home field advantage hasn't been the charm. The Bucs, however, are one of the worst teams this season with a 2-8 SU record overall. Chicago should roll in this one. Take the Bears on your NFL picks.

NFL Picks: Bears -250

Titans +500 vs. Eagles -700
Mark Sanchez and the Eagles came crashing down to earth at Lambeau Field in week 11 NFL betting, as did every other team this season to make the terrifying trip to Green Bay. Philadelphia Eagles are a perfect 5-0 SU at home and most NFL bettors expect them to bounce back at home this week. Titans are just 2-8 SU this season. Last week, they showed a pulse previously unseen this season as they almost beat the Steelers. Titans might not be as easily beaten in week 12 NFL betting, but the Eagles should get the better of them Top spot in the NFC East hangs in the balance, not to mention a date with the Cowboys on Thursday.

NFL Picks: Eagles -700

Cardinals +235 vs. Seahawks -290
If there is going an upset at the sports betting exchanges this week, this matchup is a strong candidate. Cardinals are the best team with a 9-1 SU and 8-2 ATS record this season. Just on the strength of their season, they practically leap off the page as the value NFL pick at +235. Seattle Seahawks have been tough to beat at home over the past few seasons. They lost their first game since December 2012 against the Cowboys in week 6 NFL betting That newfound vulnerability at home is something the  Cardinals can exploit. Thus, we're leaning towards the upset on our NFL picks in this game.

NFL Picks: Cardinals +235

Rams +180 vs. Chargers -220
The Rams have punched above their weight class this season when facing heavyweight opposition, to the extent of actually pulling off the upset. They've beaten the Seahawks, Niners and Broncos. That's quite the ringing endorsement for a potential fourth upset on the term. Indeed, odds makers have rolled out an attractive NFL betting line on this game. They haven't priced the Rams off the NFL odds board. At reasonable +180 NFL odds, you could say the probability of the upset is higher than one would have expected earlier this season. Certainly, they have a notional shot against a Chargers outfit that has struggled to win games of late. Last week, the Chargers barely beat the hapless Raiders 13-6.

NFL Picks: Rams +180

Dolphins +265 vs. Broncos -330
Denver Broncos are nigh indomitable at Mile High behind a 14-1-0 SU record since 2013. This season, they are a perfect 5-0 SU this season with a 14.8-point margin of victory. Last week, they had a forgettable outing in St. Louis. A costly loss that has allowed the Chiefs to close the gap in the standings. This is a must-win game.

NFL Picks: Broncos -330

Redskins +350 vs. Niners -450
The Redskins are such a bad football team right now, few would contemplate backing them on their NFL picks at all, never mind orchestrating an upset at Levi Stadium. Niners have been grinding victories for the most part this season. The prospect of a hapless Redskins side, porous as a sieve on defense and ineffective on offense, doesn't look to be an insurmountable obstacle. Niners should enjoy one of their most comfortable victories this season.

NFL Picks: Niners -450

Cowboys -170 vs. Giants +150
This game is set on a tight NFL betting line on the NFL odds board, despite the contrasting fortunes of both teams. Cowboys are riding high behind a 7-3 SU record. They are coming off a convincing win over the Jaguars in week 10 NFL betting and a bye last week. Giants, meanwhile, are in dire straits. They've lost five in a row and their season is on the verge of extinction. Yet, the G-men are notoriously unpredictable; hence, the modest NFL betting odds. That said the Cowboys have a pivotal date with the Eagles on Thursday. If they hope to continue challenging for the NFC East title, they need a win over the Giants.

NFL Picks: Cowboys -170

Ravens +155 vs. Saints -175
Saints have lost two in a row at home for the first time since 2012. In spite of these setbacks, odds makers send them into this clash as the -175 NFL odds favourites. The idea the Saints would lose three in a row is almost unacceptable to NFL pundits and bettors alike. But it's not improbable. Reality is the Saints have looked vulnerable this season, both home and away. The Ravens are a serious obstacle to consider with a solid offense and better defense. At +155 NFL odds, they are the value NFL pick for the upset.

NFL Picks: Ravens +155
