Houston Texans and Oakland Raiders feature in a Monday Night Football extravaganza in Mexico this weekend. How will this much-anticipated showdown go down at the NFL betting exchange?

   Houston Texans vs Oakland Raiders

Point Spread Value

The Houston Texans take on the Oakland Raiders at the impressive Estadio Azteca in Mexico for yet another NFL game on international soil. The Raiders have the slight edge over the Texans, seeing as they’re coming off a bye and riding a three-game winning streak which includes wins over the Jags. Bucs and, crucially, Broncos. The Raiders are 6-3-0 ATS with a 2.4 winning margin and +2.4 differential versus the spread. This is the first time the Raiders are laying quite so many points to a pretty good team though. That’s what a win over the Super Bowl champions does, which begs the question is the market overcooked for this week 11 matchup. Something to consider. The Texans boast a two-game winning streak that includes wins over the Lions and Jags and a 5-3-1 ATS record comprised of -3.0 losing margin and -2.4 differential versus the spread.

The Survivor

It’s hard to deny the Oakland Raiders (7-2 SU) anymore. They’re the real deal. Sure, one can argue they’re winning games by the slimmest of margins, late-game drama that has Silver and Black nation on edge until the final second. The fact is, they’re competing and winning. Not to mention, making the AFC West title race more riveting than it ever was in recent memory. As it is, they’re riding a three-game winning streak into week 11. The Texans, by contrast, are top of the AFC South with a 6-3 SU record but not impressing NFL bettors in quite the same way. Brock Osweiler may have the big contract but J.J. Watt is the heart and soul of this team. His absence is felt. The Texans can keep this a competitive game, but based on what we’ve seen from the Raiders they really should win straight up.

Game Total

Each and every game the Raiders are involved in seems to be a rollicking affair. Hence, they’re 7-2-0 in O/U betting this season with a +4.6 differential versus the total. Conversely, the Texans boast a 4-5-0 OVER record highlighted by a -3.2 differential versus the total. Two contrasting teams in more ways than one. Which will dictate play? Given the creativity of the Raiders, that never-say die attitude we’re tipping it towards Oakland doing the dictating on offense. As such, we’re shading the OVER for week 11 NFL picks.
