The New York Jets can't wait to get Week 1 of the NFL started as they had a big-time draft with Leonard Williams, who is widely considered the best player in the draft.

According to 5Dimes Sportsbook, the Jets are a 3 point betting favorite and this is definitely a game that they should win. I wouldn't expect to hear the name Johnny Manziel in the 1st week depsite  "Johnny Football" receiving mentoring from John Gruden. The Jets have really improved their team starting from the no-nonsense attitude of head coach Todd Bowles.

Expect Improvement in the Big Apple
New York has made a major improvement offensively as they picked up wide receiver Brandon Marshall. Marshall was on a deflating Bears team and is still in his prime as he's just over 200 yards away from 10,000 yards receiving. This is a competitve player with size and ability. He's so competitive that he once caught 4 touchdowns in a Pro Bowl Game. New York will need Eric Decker to stay healthy as he has the ability to play that way that he did with Denver and caught for over 1000 yards.

In the backfield, the Jets don't have a definitive superstar, but are stacked with blue collar backs in Chris Ivory, Bilal Powell, and new addition, Zac Stacy. If Stacy gets the touches, he will produce this season. New York really helped themselves in the NFL Draft as they took wide receiver, Devin Smith out of OSU in the early 2nd round and Bryce Petty will move up on the depth chart with Smith being injured.

Possibilites
I expect the Browns to be an improved football team, but just not in week 1. Look for 3rd round running back, Duke Johnson, out of "the U" to make an immediate impact as the Browns aren't solidified at that RB position and Cleveland has helped themselves by picking up longtinme Dolphins WR, Brian Hartline. Expect Johnny Manziel to get the starting job, but for now, we'll see Josh McCown (2206 yards, 11 TD, 14 INT) behind center and I don't expect McCown to be looking Darelle Revis' way. Week 1 is set up for a New York Jets win at home as the betting spread is only a field goal.
