Robert Griffin III will need a good showing in Week 1 as he's at home and facing a tough team in the Miami Dolphins. See who we like as the Redskins are a slight favorite.

What is RGIII Made of?
Head coach, Jay Gruden, has a long history with offenses as he was the most valuable player as a quarterback in the Arena League and has won several championships. The Gruden family in general, won't stand for disgruntled players behavior or a lack of production. This means that the pressure is on Robert Griffin III, who hasn't lived up to the billing out of college. Don't be surprised for Kirk Cousins to get a chance in this game, as head coach Jay Gruden has gotten Jon Gruden to work with Cousins in the offseason.

Griffin III will have to learn to avoid unnecessary hits and take a few less yards to preserve his career. This is a player with talent and this season will decide if his talent is displayed on Gruden's watch with the Washington Redskins or somewhere else in the future. Griffin threw for 1694 yards with 4 TD and 6 INT last season while rushing for 176 yards in just 9 games.

Players To Watch
RGIII will have DeSean Jackson, Pierre Garcon, and Jake Reed to throw to throw the football to and he'll also have Alfred Morris, who is not flashy, but a very reliable running back if the offensive line creates holes for him. Last season, Morris ran for 1,074 yards and 8 TD's and has had over 1,000 yards rushing in 3 consecutive years. He's a proven producer that won't get hurt and will get his yards against the Miami Dolphins defense.

DeSean is Da Man
When he plays with a level head and follows the rules, DeSean Jackson is one of the best talents in the NFL. He can also return kicks and his considered the big play maker on this team. I wouldn't be surprised to see RGIII throwing bombs to Jackson who caught 56 passes for 1169 yards and 6 TD's last season. If RGIII follows Coach Gruden's plays and avoids audibling, this offense can produce and get a week 1 win at home.

Progression
Ryan Tannehill has gotten better every season. He threw for 4,045 yards last season along with 27 TD's. The Dolphins need to break that mold of being an 8-8 team and it might be difficult as they have a ton of new players at key positions.

Jordan Cameron has taken over tight end duties while Kenny Stills and Greg Jennings are the wideouts. I like the big play ability of Stills, but this supporting cast leaves a lot to be desired. Running back, Lamar Miller ran for 1100 yards last season and he must have a monster season as this team is a big question mark. I disagree with odds makers. The Redskins are in the better spot in this game. Take the points with Washington at home.
