Washington gets a lot of criticism for various reasons, but they've managed to go 2-2. Their defense has been pretty stingy, but going into Atlanta is going to be tough.

Opening Odds & Line Movement

Open: -8 -105 at Pinnacle
The Falcons opened up as a favorite of -8 at home, and the NFL odds have slid to -7.5, although it's likely that it'll go back up before kickoff. The Falcons are even getting more love in terms of their Super Bowl odds as their hot start pushed them from +2000 to +1400 in a week, and while a win over Washington won't provide a big jolt, it's good to see this team play to their potential. It should be scary to Washington that Julio Jones didn't even have a big game last week; Devonta Freeman had three more touchdowns on the ground and if the Falcons can remain consistent in the running game, how do you stop them?

Injuries
Washington TE Jordan Reed has a sprained ankle and knee, but it's a concussion that will likely keep him out of this game. WR DeSean Jackson continues to be sidelined with a hamstring injury for the Redskins, who have been successful at moving things around in the face of injuries.

The Falcons put WR Devin Hester on short-term injured  reserve because of his turf toe that has caused him to stay on the sidelines so far in 2015. RB Tevin Coleman is still dealing with a rib problem, while Freeman's toe is bothering him, but the latter will play as long as he keeps getting the touches he has been getting. Coleman might be able to practice this week though, so watch out for that situation.

Trends
Washington has covered the spread in just five of their last 17, including one of their last five on the road. The Falcons are 5-1 ATS in their last six games, however, they're 5-5 SU and 6-4 ATS at home in their last 10.

The two have split their last 10 meetings SU and ATS since 1991, while the Falcons are 4-3 SU and 3-3 ATS in eight home games against Washington.
