Ravens -4 (-110 via PointsBet)
Every ounce of me wants to take the Pittsburgh Steelers in what's so obviously a trap game for the Ravens, but I can't bring myself to do it. Pittsburgh has been horrendous against the run, ranking 26th in DVOA, and the Ravens rate extremely high on the ground offensively with Lamar Jackson operating behind an amazing offensive line.
Pittsburgh also struggles to pass the ball, which is the one area the Ravens have really been gashed. I see a significant edge on both sides of the football for Baltimore and one which probably makes up a six or seven-point difference. Some normalcy should resume here in the AFC North. - Ducey
Dolphins -4 (-110 via Caesars)
My top pick in this space last week was Green Bay +1 versus the Los Angeles Rams and the Packers won outright, making me 2-0 on these. Hopefully, those of you backing the Fins got this at -2.5 when it first opened. It has risen mostly because of the uncertainty of Giants quarterback Daniel Jones, who is dealing with a neck injury. Early-week reports were that he was not expected to play, which jumped this line north of 5 points. Thursday, the Giants didn’t rule out Jones but weren’t exactly optimistic. Thus, it probably will be Mike Glennon, he of the 6-21 career record. Hard to think the G-Men would risk serious injury on Jones. Even if he does play, I still would give 4.
Miami is surging behind a defense that is allowing just 11.5 points per game during a four-game winning streak (also 4-0 ATS). Tua Tagovailoa has morphed into Drew Brees with back-to-back games of 80 percent-plus completions. The Dolphins should take care of business, making this one of our best NFL expert picks for Week 13. - Jordan
49ers -3.5 (+100)
Seattle has been abysmal at talent acquisition and development over the last five years and is now paying the price. The writing on the wall is clear: it's time to completely tear everything down and start anew. They're one of the worst rosters in the NFL and star quarterback Russell Wilson has clearly lost his fastball.
Meanwhile, the 49ers have to be fired up to turn the trends in this rivalry. They've won just two of their previous ten against Seattle, and with three wins in a row saving their season, have major momentum. Watch for San Francisco to steamroll Seattle. - Lipka
Cardinals -7.5 (+100 via SI Sportsbook)
Frankly, it’s a surprise Arizona isn’t a heavier favorite. The team with the best record in the league plays a reeling Chicago Bears club that owns the third-worst record in the conference. Not only are the Cardinals coming off a bye, but they’ll also be welcoming back offensive stars Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins.
The Cards are undefeated on the road, own a top-10 offense, top-5 scoring offense, and a defense that ranks fifth overall and fourth in scoring. The banged-up Bears lost five straight prior to squeaking out a win over the winless Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving. Chicago averages less than 300 yards a game and just 16.3 points per game. The Bears simply can’t keep up with the NFL’s elite. This game could get ugly fast. - McClymont
Top NFL Week 13 O/U Picks
Eagles-Jets Over 44.5 (-110)
There was a moment when the Jets hit six straight Overs, where the total on their games lost all value. The horrible play of this defense was baked into the lines, and the Under started coming in again.
Well, I think this is a good time to buy low on the Jets' horrible defense after they held the Texans at bay, and it's also a good time to target an up-and-coming passing offense which ranks top-10 in the league against one of the worst secondaries in football. There should be plenty of passing, plenty of protection with two poor pass rushes, and a ton of flags. I foresee a very high-scoring affair. - Ducey
49ers-Seahawks Under 46 (-110)
We hit our top NFL Week 13 expert total last week, going Under 44.5 points in Jets-Texans, making me 2-0 on these picks. Both were on Jets games. It is a bit tempting to go back to Gang Green this week with a total of 45 vs. Philadelphia, but I like Seattle hosting San Francisco more. In the three games since Russell Wilson has returned from injury, the Seahawks are simply the worst offensive team in the NFL with three offensive touchdowns and 28 total points. Overall, Seattle is worst in the league in time of possession, offensive plays run, and third-down conversions.
The Niners have scored at least 30 points in three straight games, but their offensive MVP, receiver Deebo Samuel, will not play Sunday. He is third in the NFL in yards from scrimmage (the Niners use him at least a few times a game as a runner) and tied for fifth with 10 total TDs. The Under is 9-1-1 in Seattle games this year. - Jordan
Broncos-Chiefs Under 47.5 (-110)
The total is a great play in this game. Denver has gone Under in five straight games and Kansas City in five of six. In fact, the Broncos are just 2-9 on the season as a whole above only the Seahawks.
The Broncos have just the 20th ranked offense by yards per game in the NFL, while the Chiefs offense will be going up against a stout Denver defense, especially against the passing game. This is a surprisingly high line considering Denver's defensive potential and the improvement from the Chiefs - Lipka
Eagles-Jets Over 46 (-118 via Circa)
The Under has cashed in the last two New York Jets games. The Jets average a paltry 18.1 points per game and just 14.6 points per game with rookie QB Zach Wilson under center. The Philadelphia Eagles defense allows an average of 22.8 points per game.
The Eagles will likely supply the majority of the points in this one, and though a Philly blowout could get us uncomfortably close to the total number, expect the Eagles to lean heavily on their top-ranked running game and keep the clock ticking. - McClymont
