Time to trudge ahead in the NFL and we need to take advantage of the situation with 14 games remaining after Thursday night, since this will be the most contests until Thanksgiving weekend.

Last week I was 1-2 for NFL picks, giving me a still sharp 11-4 record and the one loss was the Bears-Ravens, which featured TWO special teams touchdowns and a 90-yard Pick 6 (just sayin'). When looking over the NFL odds for this week, here is what I have from my Magic 8-ball.

Nothing Big About Giants and Seahawks Score

The New York Giants beating Denver on the road was another NFL head-scratcher from last week that made no sense. What should not be lost in that game is the Giants only had 266 yards of offense and they benefited by the Broncos committing three turnovers. This week the lack of offensive options for Eli Manning does not change, and if anything Seattle has game film of what to expect.

The Seahawks are not exactly equipped as a fine-tuned offense, having scored 16 or fewer points in three of their five contests. With the total at 40.5, hard-pressed not to think 37 is going to be highwater mark in this NFC skirmish.

AFC West Confrontation Should See Shortage of Points

As mentioned, Denver's stunning loss was amazing and helped further destroy more Survivor pools. What was not amazing was Trevor Siemian, despite the claims of Broncos franchise, proving to be just another quarterback. Denver is ringing up just 21.2 PPG this season, and since last year the Broncos are averaging 18.6 PPG on the road.

The Chargers are not reminding anyone of their City of Angels counterparts, the Rams, and despite getting off the mat with a couple of victories, they are scoring just 19.2 PPG. With L.A./S.D. a 2-point favorite, rather difficult to ignore the Bolts are 25-11 UNDER in past 36 as a home favorite of 3 points or less.

Add Them Up With Falcons and Patriots

This Super Bowl rematch should generate a very good audience for NBC on Sunday night. Atlanta's high-flying offense has been slowed down the last two games by AFC East foes, with 34 total points against Buffalo and Miami at home. Though the stakes will not be nearly the same, the Dirty Birds should be extra motivated, and they are going up against the NFL's worst defense in yards allowed in the Patriots. Atlanta should be ready to attack.

New England like the Falcons has just played a pair of UNDERS, but watch for the Pats to play at a rapid pace. In the Super Bowl, the Patriots offense just wore out the Atlanta defense. The Falcons offense got spooked and did not react properly and were outscored 31-6 after halftime. In the past two Atlanta games we have seen more of the same with the Dirty Birds outscored 29-7 in the final two quarters.

With the total at 55, Atlanta is 15-0 OVER when both teams score 20 or more points and 12-0 OVER with the total at 49.5 or higher.
