As many of you know, this NFL season has been like the ones from 2000 to 2011, where there were weekly head-scratching results that lead to, "Can you believe (fill in the team) lost" comments.

This has affected many areas of sports betting and been a boom for the sportsbooks, in not only wagering on sides and total, but parlay cards and teasers.

No doubt it has cut into my profits, but last week, I and hopefully you, got some money back on my teaser selections which went 4-0 against the NFL odds, taking us to 11-5 in teaser picks and close to profitable again on 2,3 or 4-teamers.

Here is what I have for NFL picks on 6-point teasers for this Sunday.

Minnesota Taken From -6 to Pick vs. Baltimore

With Green Bay losing Aaron Rodgers, the NFC North is there for Minnesota to take. The Vikings defeated the Packers last week and look to be in a pretty good spot for another victory against the laboring Ravens. Being able to have Minnesota just win the game is a positive and they are winning by 5.2 points a game at home since 2015. In addition, with Baltimore having lost in OT to Chicago 27-24, if the Ravens are off a six or fewer points loss, they have been outscored by 7.2 PPG in next outing the last three years.

New Orleans Taken From -4.5 to +1.5 vs. Green Bay

Really a bad break for Green Bay in losing Rodgers and chances are it will take a few games for backup Brett Hundley to figure out what to do. Facing a team like New Orleans is hardly ideal, because we know Drew Brees and the boys can score points and the last thing coach Mike McCarthy needs is getting involved in contest where first team to 30 points wins. It does not help either the Packers defense is in shambles because of injury. Unquestionably, Packers fans will be fired up to bring their team home with a victory, but having the Saints as underdogs takes out them possibly winning by three or four points.

Dallas Taken From -6 to Pick vs. San Francisco

The Cowboys 2-3 start was unforeseen and during the bye week they thought they lost Ezekiel Elliott to court battle, however, with new restraining order, he will play against San Francisco. Though the 49ers have failed to register a victory, they have been competitive in dropping past five contests by only 13 points. That is why is helps a great deal to take Dallas down to a Pick in case the Niners play another tight game. Plus, we get this teaser benefit from the Cowboys who are 23-2 against a teaser line in road games after one or more setbacks.

Falcons/Patriots Teaser Total

I am the first to admit, a rising total is not helping us in this game, yet I still like our chances and here is why. The total in the Atlanta and New England rematch has gone from 53.5 to 56. While a case could be made on teaser for Under 62, for my money the more compelling play is OVER 50. With this kind of number, it makes sense both teams will reach 20 points and when that happens, the Falcons are 21-0 OVER on the teaser line. Also, when the total is 49.5 or higher, the Dirty Birds are a perfect 12-0 OVER, with average total score of 62.7 points.
