No one gives out trophies for the preseason, but the Baltimore Ravens hold the NFL record with 20 straight preseason wins, and they will look to make it 21 on Thursday night. Here are the best Titans versus Ravens picks for each team's preseason opener.

The Baltimore Ravens enter the preseason coming off a disappointing regular season that saw them finish 8-9 and in last place in the AFC North. Meanwhile, the Tennessee Titans went 12-5 without Derrick Henry for a large portion of the season, then lost a heartbreaker to the Cincinnati Bengals in the Divisional Round of the playoffs. When it comes to preseason, you can throw just about everything out, and the result generally comes down to motivation. Under John Harbaugh, the Ravens have had plenty of it, but this year it feels different.

Here are our Titans versus Ravens NFL picks for preseason Week 1 (odds via DraftKings SportsbookFanDuel Sportsbook; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Titans vs. Ravens Odds Analysis

Harbaugh announced that Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson and star tight end Mark Andrews won't play Thursday and the Over/Under immediately dropped by two points across all the major sportsbooks. Even with the number at 31.5, 88% of the cash and 73% of the tickets are on the Under, according to Pregame.com. As for the spread, it opened at Ravens -2.5 and it has moved north of the key number to -3.5. This has led to most of the recent action coming in on the Titans.

Titans vs. Ravens Picks

Titans vs. Ravens ATS Pick

Titans +3.5 (-110)

It seems like Harbaugh learned a really hard lesson last season when he lost JK Dobbins for the year in the preseason. In addition to Jackson and Andrews, the Ravens will be without cornerback Marlon Humphrey, safety Marcus Williams, and pass-rusher Justin Houston on the defensive end. Harbaugh knows what he has for the year and there is no reason to put anyone on his team at risk.

While the Ravens will be without a lot, so will the Titans. This pick is not based on the fact that one team will play everyone and the other won't. The Titans are the defending AFC regular-season champions and, like the Ravens, they know what they have coming into the 2022 season. It's just hard to be confident in a team that is laying points above the key number, no matter how dominant they have been in recent exhibition games.

Titans vs. Ravens O/U Pick

Under 31.5 (-110)

Even as this number drops, the money continues to come in on the Under, and with good reason. The Ravens' defense was dominant last preseason, even though they gave up 30-plus points numerous times during the regular season. They gave up three points to both the Carolina Panthers and the Washington Commanders and 14 in a three-point win over the New Orleans Saints during exhibition games a year ago.

The numbers for the Titans were almost identical, as they gave up three points to the Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers before losing 27-24 to the Chicago Bears in the preseason finale. Both of these teams have high expectations heading into 2022, and their key pieces on offense are going to see a lot less time than their key pieces on defense. The only real concern here would be one team going Over the total by themselves in a huge blowout.

Titans vs. Ravens Prop Pick

Titans to win by 1-13 points (+210)

Props are hard to come by in the preseason, as Vegas is just as in the dark as a lot of bettors. However, the Titans to win this game by one-to-13 points offers value. The Ravens haven't lost a preseason game since 2015, and while that is great, there is a different attitude around this team heading into 2022. A division rival just went to the Super Bowl the same year they finished last place in the division. All sights must be set on their Week 1 matchup with the New York Jets.

Preseason can be very random. Motivation plays a key factor and it really doesn’t seem like either of these teams has much. The Titans to win by 14 or more has even higher odds, but them winning by 1-13 just feels more realistic in this setting.
