Prop betting is a nice way to change up your NFL Picks, and on Thursday night, Week 5 kicks off with a nice divisional battle between the Packers and Vikings. Here are three of my favorite prop picks to start the week off right. All of these NFL Odds are courtesy of bet365.

Eddie Lacy O/U 70.5 Rushing Yards
Some people are souring on Eddie Lacy already, even after the Packers’ masterful offensive performance last week against the Bears. Lacy hasn’t been great so far this season averaging only about 40 yards rushing per game. Now that they are on a short week, and with the Vikings’ offense and Teddy Bridgewater looking questionable, Lacy should see a lot of work here on Thursday night.

Even though Lacy has had a slow start to the season, it really isn’t his fault entirely. The Packers have had to throw the ball a lot in the first few weeks of the season, mostly because at least in their first three games, they might have played the three best rushing defenses in the NFL. Last week against the Bears the passing game was going so well that he didn’t get much work either, but he still managed 17 carries. If he can get 15-20 carries tonight, he should finally break out for a bigger game. The Vikings’ run defense is not that strong, giving up 372 total rushing yards in their last three games.

NFL Pick: OVER 70.5 rush yards (-125)

Take a Look at Other NFL Prop Bets for Tonight's Vikings vs. Packers!

Jarius Wright O/U 42.5 Receiving Yards
Last week Jarius Wright broke out for a huge game under Bridgewater’s first start. He had eight catches for 132 yards, which nearly quadrupled his season production to this point. Before last week Wright had a total of three catches for 37 yards, and I don’t think that Wright can do it again. Last week was likely an anomaly, and furthermore, Bridgewater’s questionable status for this game makes me even more inclined to recommend the under. Once in a blue moon someone like Wright goes off. This isn’t some highly drafted rookie or second year player starting to break out. Wright is a fourth round pick from 2012, and even though he has shown some flash in his career with five touchdowns, the likelihood of him having another good game on short rest is small.

NFL Pick: UNDER 42.5 receiving yards (-120)

Richard Rodgers TD Scored
Not too many people know the other Rodgers on the Packers, but Richard Rodgers is due for a breakout game. After going without a catch in his first three games, Rodgers caught two big passes for 52 yards last week. With his snap count increasing, and the Packers’ need for a red zone target increasing too, the storm is perfect to start gambling on Rodgers getting a touchdown pass from Aaron Rodgers. The Packers are going to start looking his way more often in the red zone, and at +333 from Bet365, these NFL Odds are more than good enough to take a chance here. It’s obviously a big risk, but one of these days Rodgers is going to have a breakout game, and much like we were there to take advantage of Travis Kelce’s big breakout this past Monday night, Rodgers could be next. This team has a lot more options than the Chiefs, but Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb aren’t that great inside the opponents’ 20 yard line. If you feel like gambling tonight, add this prop to your NFL picks.

NFL Pick: Richard Rodgers TD Scored (+333)
