After another great week of NFL prop betting, we start again on a Thursday night. This week the Falcons head back home to play the Bucs, and there are some great NFL Prop Odds from multiple sportsbooks. However all of these props are from Bovada sportsbook.
Will Steven Jackson score a TD?
Our first prop this evening is one on Falcons’ running back, Steven Jackson, who is +120 to score a touchdown tonight against the Bucs. Even though the Bucs’ run defense is pretty good, the Falcons’ offense should still have plenty of opportunities to score tonight, and Jackson will surely get some of the red zone looks. Matt Ryan could also look to him in the red zone in the passing game, leading to more value on this +120 prop. The no is -150 from Bovada, and I think they have this completely backwards. Jackson has a great shot at hitting pay dirt tonight, so take him at Bovada to do exactly that.
My Pick: Steven Jackson TD Scored (+120)
Who will have more passing yards: Josh McCown +55 ½ or Matt Ryan -55 ½
I don’t know if Bovada is feeling generous and trying to give away some money tonight, but this prop sure looks like it. Josh McCown, despite not looking great, still has an over/under of around 250 passing yards from Bovada tonight, and going up against the Falcons, if he stays within 55 passing yards of Ryan, he will cash this prop. The Falcons are going to throw the ball a lot. We all know it’s coming. However with the Falcons having to throw a lot, the Bucs are going to have to put the ball in the air to keep up. I refuse to believe that McCown will be that far behind Ryan in passing yards. Ryan’s O/U is at around 290 yards, and if Bovada’s totals are correct tonight, McCown should have 250 or more yards, and be within 55 yards of Ryan.
My Pick: Josh McCown +55 ½ passing yards vs. Matt Ryan (-115)
Roddy White O/U 57 ½ receiving yards
Finally tonight, NFL odds are offering Roddy White with an over/ under of only 57 ½ yards, and with the Bucs likely preoccupied trying to keep Julio Jones in front of their secondary, White might be in for a bigger day than just 57 yards receiving. The Bucs have a great secondary, but Alterraun Verner might not be enough to stop all of the Falcons’ weapons. Verner will likely be lined up against Jones, which leaves White the entire other side of the field to try and take advantage of Jonathon Banks. Five or more catches should be enough for White to cash the over for this prop, and at -125, the juice is not bad at all. Look for Jones to be the focal point for Lovie Smith’s defense, and White to take advantage. I see about five or six catches for White in this game, with 58 or more yards receiving making the 'over' the chouce for our NFL picks.
My Pick: Roddy White OVER 57 ½ receiving yards (-125)
