Atlanta looks to go 6-0 when they head to New Orleans for this NFC South showdown, who are 1-4 & coming off a thumping at the hands of the Eagles. Let's review the betting odds inside.

Opening Odds & Line Movement
Open: -3 +102 at Pinnacle

The NFL odds for this game opened at -3 for the Falcons on the road, then went to -3.5, back down to -3 and then it just went back up to -3.5. Atlanta is going to be the favorite for this game and the movement all depends on the status of a couple of their most important players, but they will be the favorite. Some might say there’s value with New Orleans but this matchup doesn't bode well for the Saints, who are dead last in the league in yards allowed, while the Falcons are third in yards for. It also doesn't look like the Saints' offense can do what it did in the past anymore, although Drew Brees is seventh in QBR and has been putting up numbers. He just doesn't have much help.

Injuries
The line likely went back up for the Falcons as they listed WR Julio Jones and RB Devonta Freeman is probable with hamstring and toe injuries, respectively. Jones hasn't practiced much this season anyway as the Falcons try to keep him healthy, but he doesn't need to practice. Freeman has been a revelation as he is tied for second in the league in rushing, and he'll be ready to go.

Things might get a bit better for the Saints as G Jahri Evans returns from a knee injury, while T Terron Armstead is back to practice with his own knee injury. However, WR Marques Colston is out with a shoulder injury and is probably gone for a couple weeks, at least.

Trends
The Falcons have covered the spread in four of their last five games, and they're 5-1 ATS in their last six on the road. The Saints have covered in just two of their last seven games and just one of their last seven at home, where they used to be so good.

Atlanta has had the upper hand over the Saints as of late, going 3-2 SU and 4-1 ATS in their last five meetings. In New Orleans, the Falcons are 2-3 SU and ATS in their last five trips.
