Week 1 has some nice early-season value in the NFL Odds, however to add even more value to the slate this week, utilize some of these teasers. All of these teasers are six points, and all have NFL Odds of -110.

Vikings and Steelers
The first two teams up for Week 1 are the Vikings and Steelers. Minnesota is a +3 ½ underdog in St. Louis in Week 1, and teasing them up to +9 ½ looks likea great value. Even with Shaun Hill starting, the Rams are going to be tough to beat, but even nine and a half points are too much for St. Louis at home. The Vikings aren’t that bad either, and they still have one of the best running backs in the game. Even though the Rams will likely win the game, it won’t be more than a touchdown.

The Steelers on the other hand are -6 ½ home favorites against the Browns, and they are the perfect addition to the Vikings. The Browns will have little to no offense against the Steelers in Pittsburgh, and with no Josh Gordon, it will make it virtually impossible to score on the Steelers. On the offensive side for Pittsburgh, Antonio Brown had 15 receptions for 179 yards and a touchdown against the Browns and Joe Haden last year, and I see the Steelers easily covering their teaser odds.

Bears and Redskins
This is probably the riskiest of the three teases, but there is still enough value for me to take the plunge. Chicago gets the Bills at home, and the NFL Odds teased down would put them at an even -1 wager. With the Bills’ offense really struggling in the preseason, it’s hard to believe that on the road, they’ll be able to keep up with the highflying offense of the Bears. While they may not be able to stop the run very well, it shouldn’t matter too much.

The Redskins are on the road in Houston, and the NFL Odds have them as +2 ½ underdogs on the road. Washington could go a number of different directions this season under a new coach, but they should be a pretty solid football team. Teased up to +8 ½, and against the only team that finished lower than them in the standings, Washington should have no issues slowing down Houston enough to cover their six-point teaser odds.

Cowboys and Giants
Two NFC East team round out my three best teaser bets this week, and for the Cowboys, they may be the most undervalued team in the NFL Odds this week. At home against a 49ers team with out much defense left, the Dallas offense should have little trouble moving the ball at home. San Francisco has even had some issues with their big money man, Colin Kaepernick, and if he plays badly, the Niners won’t have time to recover from a slow start.

The Giants are playing on Monday night in Detroit, and the The Giants are playing on Monday night in Detroit, and the NFL Odds have them as a +5 ½ underdog.  At +11 ½, the Giants are a virtual steal adding to the Cowboys this Week 1. The Lions are going to be a much-improved team this season, but they aren’t -5 ½ points better than New York. The Lions’ defense is still a big question mark after last season, and unless they are getting huge pressure on Eli Manning, the Giants should have no problem covering their teaser odds.
