Saturday’s round of NFL Preseason action serves up some intriguing matchups. Here’s a look at the NFL betting board currently in swing as we determine some of our top NFL picks for your consideration.

Buccaneers vs. Bills
NFL Line:
Buccaneers +3.0 at Bills -3.0; totals 41.5

NFL Betting Analysis: Buccaneers are 0-2 SU in preseason, but on the bright side, defense has been performing well under Lovie Smith holding down opposing offenses well enough. The Bucs defense should be able to handle EJ Manuel, who’s been somewhat disappointing in preseason performance for the Bills.

NFL Picks: Under 41.5

Cowboys vs. Dolphins
NFL Line:
Cowboys +3.5 at Dolphins -3.5; totals 46.5

NFL Betting Analysis: There have been some positive signs coming from the Dolphins camp in preseason, namely the maturation of Ryan Tannehill. He’s not lighting up the scoreboard but he’s been far more efficient than previously. Cowboys are winless in preseason, including the last outing that they lost 37-30 at home to the Ravens, in which Tony Romo featured. Neither defense is particularly great, but Cowboys’ defense is horrifying as it continues to struggle.

NFL Picks: Over 46.5; Dolphins to cover

Titans vs. Falcons
NFL Line:
Titans +3.0 at Falcons -3.0; totals 44.0

NFL Betting Analysis: Jake Locker is enjoying a solid preseason thus far, even enjoying a good start in last week’s 31-24 defeat to the Saints as he went 8-of-11 for 75 yards and a touchdown. He’ll need a good outing against the Falcons on the road to convince his critics though.  Left tackle Sam Backer is set to miss the entire 2014 season, bringing in the feeling of déjà vu for the Falcons who suffered the ignominy of 4-12 season after being decimated by injuries. If Jake Locker hold his end on offense against a shaky defense, the Titans could squeeze the victory out.

NFL Picks: Over 44.0 at a Sportsbook like 5Dimes

Redskins vs. Ravens
NFL Line
: Redskins +2.5 at Ravens -2.5; totals 43.5

NFL Betting Analysis: By all accounts, RGIII hasn’t impressed in the preseason. He seems to be struggling with the new system and playbook and there are rumours of a rift growing between him and his teammates, which doesn’t make for good atmosphere all around. Everything is going great for the Ravens right now and Joe Flacco is warming up to Kubiak’s offense nicely. He’s likely to get more snaps in this game, which must mean a straightforward win for the Ravens at home.

NFL Picks: Ravens to cover; Over 43.5

Saints vs. Colts
NFL Line:
 Saints +2.5 at Colts -2.5; totals 47.0

NFL Betting Analysis: Saints have breezed through the first two rounds of the preseason behind a 26-24 win at St. Louis and a 31-34 win over Tennessee at home. With offense looking impressive all while the Colts appear to be down in the doldrums after a 0-2 SU record (losses to the Jets (13-10) and Giants (27-26)), the Saints should swoop into Indianapolis and take the win.

NFL Picks: Saints straight up; Over 47.0

Rams vs. Browns
NFL Line:
Rams +2.5 at Browns -2.5; totals 43.0

NFL Betting Analysis: Both the Rams and the Browns are searching for their first win of the preseason. Clearly, something is going to have to give. Cleveland have an intriguing QB situation with neither Brian Hoyer nor Johnny Manziel putting in convincing performances. That said Hoyer looks to have the starting job, unless he somehow messes it up with a bad showing against the Rams on Saturday. Can he lead the Browns to victory?

The Rams have faced off against two elite offenses in the Saints and Packers so their defeats have to be taken in the appropriate context. Browns certainly don’t loom as large as either the Saints or Packers do, so the Rams could fancy their chances on the road.

NFL Picks: Under 43.0

Vikings vs. Chiefs
NFL Line:
Vikings +3.5 at Chiefs -3.5; totals 45.0

NFL Betting Analysis: The Chiefs are 1-1 SU on the preseason, which includes a 1-0 SU record at home. There are some issues in secondary and wide receiver positions but with Alex Smith getting more snaps in this game than previously the Chiefs should win comfortably against a Vikings side still searching for its identity at centre.

NFL Picks: Chiefs to cover; Over 45.0

Texans vs. Broncos
NFL Line:
Texans +7.0 at Broncos -7.0; totals 46.0

NFL Betting Analysis: More snaps for Peyton Manning means a forgettable day for the Texans defense. An interesting subplot to the game however has to be how the overall No.1 pick Jadeveon Clowney measures up against Peyton Manning.

NFL Picks: Broncos to cover, and/or Over 46.0 for both moneyline & total NFL picks.
