After a successful Week 3 for team props, I am back for Week 4 with another three best bets from bet365. After nearly 800 combined points were scored in Week 3, could the offenses rule once again here in Week 4?
New Orleans Saints O/U 26.5 points
If the Saints don’t win this week, they might as well join the Bears in packing in their season and looking toward the future. Through three games the Saints defense has given up 28 points per game, but they do have a shot in this one, because Drew Brees is set to play at home on Sunday Night Football. This makes the over look like the play against the Cowboys who should give the Saints every chance in this one. Dallas’ defensive numbers could look a lot worse if they would have not played the Eagles on their worst night ever. Outside of that game the Cowboys have given up 26, and most recently 39 points in their other two games, and we could easily see the Saints break out of their slump this week in a must win game. I’m going with Brees and I’m going with the over with my NFL picks.
NFL Pick: OVER 26.5 points (-110) at bet365
Cowboys vs. Saints O/U 5.5 TDs
I’m staying with Sunday Night Football for this one and after all of that pitching on the Saints offense this week, you know the over is also the play here. But beside all that about the Saints, their defense is where you’re going to see the value in this prop. The Saints have given up 28 points per game through three weeks, and the Super Dome should help the Cowboys get some touchdowns of their own. After a week of lot’s of scoring, I could see this game being much like the Cowboys game last week against the Falcons, where they gave up 39 points to their 28. With NFL odds value of +110 for the over on this one, I’m not sure what everyone is waiting for.
NFL Pick: OVER 5.5 TDs (+110)
Raiders vs. Bears O/U 3.5 FGs
There are a lot of people that think the Raiders are going to run all over the Bears in Week 4 in Chicago, however I could see the game playing out a bit closer, even with the Bears coming off getting blanked in Week 3. That doesn’t mean I expect too much, but I do expect some missed opportunities, which could lead to a ton of field goals. Both of these teams have above average kickers, and both are giving up a lot of points to kickers so far. If that trend continues here in Week 4, the over is a great value. Apparently bet365 recognizes this, because -120 is the same price you’ll get for the over and under on this prop. However, with both teams combining to give up 13 field goals through their first three games, I see both getting at least a pair each against one another in Week 4. For the third time this week, I’m on the over.
NFL Pick: OVER 3.5 FGs (-120)
