We are heading down the stretch run of the NFL season and with only three regular season weeks remaining, there isn’t much time left to miss out on some of these winning player prop picks from bet365.
Houston Texans O/U 20.5 Points
The Texans have been up and down all season it seems, but they have a chance to correct that down the stretch run of the season, as they face off this week in a huge divisional game against the Colts. With their playoff hopes seemingly hanging in the balance, I see the Texans coming to play on all cylinders this week, and that includes their offense. They had it rough against a quickly improving Patriots defense last week, but this week against the much softer Colts defense, the over looks like a great value in this one at even money. The Colts are giving up 27.4 points per game this season, and even if the Texans fall behind earlier in the game, they could pass the ball more against a weaker Colts secondary, which could also lead to a few more points going their way. I’m taking the over for my first NFL team prop pick this week.
NFL Picks: OVER 20.5 (+100) at bet365
Panthers vs. Giants O/U 3.5 FGs
The Panthers are coming off yet another masterful defensive performance, and this week against the Giants’ offense, they could easily have another big week. This is why I think the amount of field goals kicked in this one could be up. Even though the Panthers have only given up three made field goals in their last six games, I think it’s somewhat of an outlier. They have played some bad offenses in the past few weeks, and on top of that, in their first seven games they averaged giving up two made field goals per game. This week with two of the better kickers in the NFL going at one another, the over looks like a perfect value at +100 NFL odds. The Giants have given up 25 made field goals this season, which is the fourth most in the league, and they have also allowed 14 field goal attempts in their last five games.
NFL Picks: OVER 3.5 (+100)
Falcons vs. Jaguars O/U 4.5 TDs
My guy, Swinging Johnson may not like to see this NFL pick. While it is a bit of a longer shot compared to the other two above, I still think the under could hold some value this week between these two clubs. We have already discussed how the Falcons are coming off getting blanked on offense last week, and with the way their offense has been struggling over the last five or six games, it’s easy to think they could do it again on the road this week. The Jaguars run defense has been pretty good, so maybe they can make the Falcons one dimensional and predictable on offense this week. On the flip side, the Jaguars offense has shown great promise at times this year, and at times they look like a young and inconsistent offense. The Jags are still ranked only 21st in the NFL in red zone conversion percentage at 54.3 percent, and the Falcons aren’t much better in that department at 56.8 percent. This one could end up being a kicking game as well, but instead of another field goal prop, I’m going with the value of betting the under here and hoping for four or fewer total TDs.
NFL Picks: UNDER 4.5 (+125)
