The Bucs made marked improvements last season but their division has gotten better which may derail their upward spiral. Let’s review the NFL odds for Tampa Bay’s regular season win total and see which way this season is shaping up.

Bucs Will Find Tough Sailing in NFC South Waters
Tampa’s 2017 strength of schedule does not look too daunting with their opponents’ winning percentage averaging .518 from 2016 (14th). However, what that doesn’t take into account is that their divisional rivals have all made vast improvements with the Saints bolstering their defense, Carolina slated to make a big comeback from a spectacularly disappointing campaign and the Falcons’ prolific offense poised to strike on every possession. Those six divisional games alone could upset the total that the oddsmakers are posting for Tampa Bay this season.
In addition, the Super Bowl champion New England Patriots will be coming to town along with a trip to Minnesota and Arizona to meet two nasty defenses and then a visit to the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field for a date with Aaron Rodgers and the Packers. The schedule makers did Tampa no favors in lining up three consecutive divisional games to end the season against teams could all be very well in contention for an NFC South title. As of this writing, the Bucs posted total for regular season wins is eight, but I believe this team is destined to lock up no more than six in the win column which is why I am buying low on the Bucs and going under in my NFL picks for this season’s 2017 Bucs’ edition.
