Ravens Bounce Back with Impressive Win
The Baltimore Ravens were dominating in their Thursday night national telecast 26-6 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. It temporarily silenced the early season critics who were plentiful following a 23-16 loss in their home opener at the hands of the Cincinnati Bengals. The Ravens road to recovery from the loss of former start running back Ray Rice showed signs of encouragement in their win over the Steelers. Bernard Pierce and Justin Forsett combined for 147-yards on 30-attempts (4.9 ypr.). Baltimore has also received a boost from long time Carolina Panthers Steve Smith who had 13-catches for 189-yards (14.5 ypc.) in the first 2-games. The Ravens have gone under the total in their last 6-games as an away favorite.

Dramatic Games to Start for the Browns
The Cleveland Browns opened the season by losing at Pittsburgh 30-27. The margin of victory came on the Steelers Shaun Suishim’s 41-yard field goal as time expired. If there was a silver lining in the loss, it occurred as a result of the Browns coming back from a 27-3 halftime deficit to tie the game, prior to the gut wrenching finish. Last week they found themselves on the right end of a dramatic finish during a 26-24 win over the Saints, and it came as a 5.0 point underdog. Billy Cundiff’s 27-yard field goal with just 0:03 to play in the 4th quarter provided the final margin of victory. Rookie running back Terrance West out of Towson St. has been stellar in the first 2-games. West has rushed for 168-yards on 35-attempts (4.8 ypr.), and is making a strong case to be the Browns feature running back. Following this game the Browns will be off next week, and will return to action 2-weeks from this Sunday in a road game versus the Tennessee Titans.
