The last week of the exhibition season is upon us and we are flat out killing it in our NFLX picks, having registered a 7-1-2 mark throughout. Let’s review the NFL odds and add to our ever expanding bankroll.

En fuego! Yes, that’s what we are as my NFLX picks have been firing on all cylinders. Last week I wrote two columns for a total of three games and all of them cashed. We had the Texans -1 over the visiting Cardinals in which Houston came away with a 34-24 victory. In a separate column, we had under 45 in the Steelers/Saints (27-14 final) as well the Vikings -4 over the Chargers in which Minnesota drew away to a 23-10 victory.

Let’s keep this ATM spitting out the cash as we review the NFL odds for Week 4 and continue to build our bankroll while you select your preferred sportsbook to place your wagers.

Thursday, September 1st – Jaguars vs. Falcons
Matt Schaub was once a starter. Matt Schaub was also a Fantasy Football staple several years ago. Matt Schaub has also shined in his preseason outings against the defensive scrubs he has faced thus far. Matt Schaub is also the reason why the Falcons are the play in this game. The 35-year-old veteran went 10-of-15 for 179 yards with a passer rating of 107.4 in the club’s 23-17 win over the Redskins in the opening week of preseason. In his second week, he split time with third-stringer Matt Simms and connected on 8-of-12 for 78 yards in the Falcons’ 24-13 road win over the Browns. In his last appearance, he sparkled, completing 10-of-11 for 109 yards and a passer rating of 108 despite a 17-6 loss to the Dolphins.

The fourth and final preseason game should belong to Schaub with incumbent starter Matt Ryan roaming the sidelines. Jacksonville starting quarterback Blake Bortles has looked confident this preseason under center but it is highly unlikely he will receive much playing time in this meaningless game before Week 1 of the regular season commences. The Jags’ starting offense was dominated by the Bengals last week before Chad Henne got enough production out of his offense to secure the 26-21 victory.

The bottom line here is that Schaub is a better than average backup QB and will look to redeem a Falcons crew that put up just six points last week against Miami. Lay the points and cash that ticket.

Thursday, September 1st – Titans vs. Dolphins
The Titans’ offense has done an admirable job of putting up points this preseason. Averaging almost 24 points per game, Tennessee looks poised to win their second straight after a solid 27-14 road win over the Raiders last week. Starting quarterback Marcus Mariota will not get much playing time but the Titans boast Matt Cassel and Alex “Trick Shot” Tanney (Google that!) who are better than serviceable backups. The club also has a two-headed monster in the backfield with DeMarco Murray and 2016 Heisman Trophy winner Derrick Henry smashing through defensive lines.

Conversely, the Dolphins will employ backup QBs Zac Dysert and Brandon Doughty (did I hear a collective “who”?) in place of starter Ryan Tannehill who is highly unlikely to see the field. The Fins have plenty of faces that won’t see a second of action due to bumps and bruises that need to be mended. Offensive lineman Mike Pouncey, DT Ndamukong Suh as well as receivers Kenny Still and DeVante Parker will all be watching as opposed to playing.

Expect the Tennessee defense to handle the pedestrian Dolphins and eke out a victory…but we’ll take the points anyway.
