Injuries are catching up with New England, who have lost two in a row after falling to Philadelphia. The Patriots are 10-2 as they head to Houston, who are 6-6 after a loss in Buffalo.

Opening Odds & Line Movement
Open: -3.5 -105 at Pinnacle

The Patriots opened the NFL odds as 3.5-point favorites, but the line has moved down to -3 for New England on the road. That has to be due to their injuries, specifically to TE Rob Gronkowski. QB Tom Brady threw for 312 yards and three touchdowns in their 35-28 loss to the Eagles, but that was in 56 attempts and he was picked off twice. RB James White caught 10 passes for 115 yards and a score, if that tells you something about New England's passing options. Houston had a four-game winning streak snapped in a 30-21 loss to the Bills on the road, but they're still right there with Indianapolis in the AFC South. Not only do the Patriots have issues at their skill positions, but their offensive line has been a mess all season. Now, they have to go up against Houston DE J.J. Watt, while DE Jadaveon Clowney is also playing better in 2015.

Gronkowski didn't practice on Wednesday because of his knee injury, and the Patriots aren't going to rush him back. TE Scott Chandler and WR Danny Amendola were limited in practice because of their own injuries, but he Patriots are holding them out because “Gronk” is very unlikely to play, and it might take two people to fill his void. S Patrick Chung didn't practice because of a foot injury.

For the Texans, Watt (groin/hand) and Clowney (hamstring) were both limited, but they are very likely to play on Sunday. CB Johnathan Joseph was also limited with a knee injury, while T Derek Newton has elbow and knee injuries. However, they should also be able to play in this huge game for the Texans.

The Patriots are 5-4-3 ATS this season, going 2-3 ATS on the road. The Texans are 6-6 ATS and 4-2 ATS at home. The total for this game is 45, and both teams have gone over seven times this season.

New England are 5-1 SU and 4-2 ATS in six meetings with the Texans, who are 1-2 SU and 2-1 ATS in three home games with the Patriots.
