We already cashed one of our Sunday props to move us to 2-1 on the week, but with one play pending, I am back to release my two best bets for the Week 8 SNF showdown between the Eagles and Cowboys. Let's keep the profits from this season rolling, courtesy of Bovada sportsbook!
Cowboys O/U 24 points
Dallas has been humming on offense with Dak Prescott under center and even though the Eagles' defense has played well at times this season, with Dez Bryant coming back and the best young running back in the league, the Eagles are going to be hard pressed to stop both Bryant and Zeke Elliott.
Furthermore, the Cowboys are at home, where they have put up 28 and 31 points respectfully in their last two games in Jerry World. Coming off a bye week where they had extra time to prepare for this Eagles' defense, I expect a big game from Prescott and company, furthering the narrative that he should remain the Cowboys' starter.
The other reason I like this play comes from the other side of the field. The Eagles took care of another struggling overvalued team in the Vikings last week, but overall Carson Wentz has looked different in the three games since the Eagles' bye week. Whether he is struggling, or teams are starting to figure him out, he has thrown three picks in three games and has had two straight really poor games. This should give the Cowboys' high-powered offense and running game more opportunities to score and with Bryant back, it gives Prescott a quick strike weapon he has been missing.

Ezekiel Elliott O/U 109.5 rushing yards
Ezekiel Elliott ran the ball 28 times last week and produced 157 yards against the league's best rushing defense in the Packers. He has now gone for at least 134 yards in four straight games and because of this people are going to be running to bet the over with his yards total at 109.5.
However, if the Cowboys keep winning, which they should in this Sunday night game, there is going to come a time in this season when the Packers start to get some of their other backs involved. It would be a shame to run Elliott into the ground before the playoffs and then he has nothing left and the Cowboys are left disappointed again.
There is a reason Dallas signed Alfred Morris in the offseason. he only saw three carries last week, but I expect him to get back to seeing six to eight carries and limiting Elliott's touches to around 25. Don't get me wrong, Elliott could easily cash the over on this prop with 25 carries, but giving him 30 carries this early in the season and this early in his career is dangerous and irresponsible.
If you take away the Eagles' one bad week against the Redskins, the Eagles have allowed an average of only 62.6 yards per game to opposing running backs. I see them keying on Elliott in this one and forcing Prescott to beat them through the air. Take that into account from your week 8 NFL picks.Free NFL Pick: Under 109.5 (-125) Best Line Offered: at Bovada
