The Chicago Bears surprised in Week 1, while the Green Bay Packers disappointed. How much should Week 1 factor into your Sunday Night Football prop bets for Week 2?

Can any betting knowledge really be gained from the Bears' Week 1 victory over the San Francisco 49ers? The two teams met in a near monsoon, and somehow Chicago won by two possessions, despite quarterback Justin Fields completing just eight of 17 passes.

Meanwhile, Aaron Rodgers was terrible against the Minnesota Vikings, and Kirk Cousins and Justin Jefferson torched the Packers’ defense. Yet, the prop lines at various sportsbooks suggest that Rodgers and the Packers will bounce back this week.

Here are our top prop picks for Sunday Night Football between the Bears and Packers (odds via PointsBet and DraftKings Sportsbooks).

SNF Prop Predictions

Mooney Over 4.5 receptions (+115)

This may seem a bit ambitious, especially since Bears receiver Darnell Mooney caught just one pass in Week 1, and he was targeted only three times. However, the Bears’ Week 1 performance was dictated by the weather. This week, Chicago will need to air it out, and Mooney will be able to take advantage of a mediocre Packers’ secondary.

Fields completed more than 15 passes just six times in 2021. Two of those instances came against the Packers. That bodes well for his receivers, especially his No. 1 target.

Rodgers Over 249.5 passing yards and Packers moneyline (+130)

First things first, the Packers are going to win this game. Therefore, this prop comes down to whether or not Rodgers will throw for 250 yards or not. That’s where his line is at across most major sportsbooks, so take the added value by throwing in the moneyline.

Rodgers has thrown for 250 or more yards in only one of his last four games against the Bears. However, Rodgers also never performed as badly in the week leading up to a game against Chicago as he did in Week 1.

The reigning MVP struggled without familiar weapons in Week 1. He even threw an interception, something he did only four times in 2021. Yet, we have seen Rodgers bounce back repeatedly throughout his career. He has a week under his belt with his new receiving corps, and he likely gets Allen Lazard back from injury. That’s enough to get him over this number.

Clark Over .25 sacks (+265)

In 2021, Fields was sacked 36 times in just 12 games. In Week 1 of this season, he was sacked twice by the 49ers.

Packers defensive tackle Kenny Clark didn’t record a sack against the Vikings, but he did record two QB hits. In 2021, Clark recorded four sacks. Two of them came against Fields and the Bears. With those kinds of numbers, it’s hard not to take this at the price being offered.
