Opening Odds & Line Movement
Open: -6.5 -103 at Pinnacle
The Vikings opened this game up as 6.5-point favorites at home, but the NFL odds went down to -6, then -5.5 and now sit at -5 right now. That is a lot of confidence in the Giants, who fought back from a 35-7 deficit to tie Carolina at 35, but they lost 38-35. The game was notable for the battle between Carolina CB Josh Norman and WR Odell Beckham Jr., who is suspended for this game due to many incidents that took place. However, the one that probably got him was launching the top of his helmet into Norman's helmet, and now QB Eli Manning is without his favorite target and one of the best receivers in the league. The Vikings routed Chicago 38-17 at home as they ended a two-game skid, and while they can still win the NFC North, they should focus on just getting into the postseason. They're two games ahead of Atlanta, and a win would almost guarantee postseason play for the Vikings.

Of course, Beckham is gone due to his suspension, but he'll be back for Week 17. The Giants are still in it because of their terrible division, but Beckham has to learn to keep his head in the future. The Giants also put RB Nikita Whitlock on the injured-reserve list because of a knee injury.

The Vikings put TE Scott Crichton on the injured-reserve list because of a concussion. RB Adrian Peterson has a bad ankle, but it would take more than that to keep him off the field on Sunday night.

The Giants are 8-5-1 ATS, going 4-2-1 ATS on the road this season. The Vikings are one of two teams in the league, along with Cincinnati, to have 11 ATS wins as they're 11-3. The total for this game comes in at 45.5, and the Giants have gone over nine times. The Vikings have gone under nine times, along with two pushes.

The two have split 10 meetings SU since 2001, with the Giants covering six times. The Giants are also 5-3 SU and 6-2 ATS in eight trips to Minnesota.
