Paul Brown Stadium has been a safe haven for the Bengals this season. They're a perfect 7-0 at home (both straight up and against the spread) and have notched some big wins in front of their fans.
We get all of that, but we just don't believe Cincinnati should be favored by this many points against a rock solid Baltimore team.
For one, the Ravens have already beaten the Bengals once this season. Baltimore's defense forced three Andy Dalton turnovers and Joe Flacco and company made enough plays offensively to guide the defending Super Bowl champions to the win.
This is a hugely important game for the Ravens. They can reach the playoffs with a win and a little help in the Miami and San Diego games, so they're going to be fighting tooth and nail each and every play.
What's more, this Ravens team is an experienced bunch that knows what it takes to win in high-pressure situations. They may have had their fair share of misfortunes on the road this season, but they've hung tough practically every time and we expect more of the same in Week 17.
Most of Baltimore's issues have come offensively – Flacco has to take better care of the football this Sunday – but we know they're going to bring a good effort defensively week in and week out.
It's likely the Bengals will do enough to preserve their spotless home record, but this number's too high. Let's add the Ravens to our NFL picks.
NFL Pick: Bengals +6.5
There's a lot of heavy chalk on the NFL odds board for the last week of the regular season. That's what happens when you've got a lot of mismatches on the slate.
This game looks like one of those likely blowouts in our eyes.
The Seahawks can't be too happy with how they played against Arizona last weekend. It's become such a rarity to see Seattle lose at home that you have to think they'll bounce back in a big way in Week 17.
Still needing a win to finish with home-field advantage throughout the win, the Seahawks are going to be hungry in this one. They were fantastic defensively in their earlier meeting with the Rams, holding them to nine points on the road.
For St. Louis, they've been solid with two straight win and have now secured victories in four of six. That being said, we don't think the Rams will be able to have any success moving the ball against Seattle's stingy defense. It doesn't help that St. Louis has lost three of their last four road games, both straight up and against the spread.
Moreover, Jake Long being out is a major blow, while speedy playmaker Tavon Austin (ankle) is listed as questionable for today. As one of the Rams' few offensive threats, the prospects of being without Austin has to be scary for St. Louis fans to say the least.
So while the Seahawks have cooled off recently, we foresee them heating back up to close out the season, while wrapping up the number one overall seed in the process. Take Seattle to cover against a St. Louis team that's 2-5 ATS on the road this year.
NFL Pick: Seahawks -10.5
