Denver Broncos rookie quarterback Bo Nix faces a daunting prospect against the Pittsburgh Steelers defence in his second start.

Last week, the Steelers' defense dominated the Atlanta Falcons, holding them to 226 total yards.

They'll line up against a Denver offense that gained just 231 yards in its first game (138 of which from Nix's arm) of the season in Seattle, and that's one of the focuses of our Steelers vs. Broncos prop bets.

The Steelers are consensus favorites across our best NFL betting sites to leave the Mile High City with a victory.

Bo Nix Under 173.5 passing yards (-110)

Nix threw for just 138 yards against the Seahawks in his NFL debut.

That number is not nearly as concerning as the 26 of his 42 passes he completed on a 3.3 yards-per-pass-attempt average.

The Steelers' defense held veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins to 155 passing yards last week, an ominous thought for Nix and Co.

Cousins was under pressure all night from T.J. Watt, who registered a sack and two tackles for a loss against the Falcons. I expect Nix will suffer much of the same this week.

Longest field goal made Over 48.5 yards (-115)

Last week, Chris Boswell accounted for all 18 Pittsburgh points, connecting on six field goals.

Three of those exceeded the 48.5-yard threshold. The veteran kicker has hit 33 of 39 field goal attempts of at least 50 yards in his ten seasons.

Broncos’ kicker Will Lutz was called into action three times last week and converted all three of his field goal attempts.

His longest fell just four yards under clearing the required minimum.

He won’t likely be the kicker to cash this prop, but he has connected on 19 of 31 field goal attempts over 50 yards in his career.

The mile-high air in Denver is a dream scenario for kickers, so I'll take advantage of the reasonable price DraftKings is offering.

A winning $10 bet on this will profit $8.70.

Jonathon Cooper Over 0.25 sacks (+130)

Jonathon Cooper burst out of the gates last week to record two sacks on Seattle quarterback Geno Smith. The linebacker is coming off a career-high 8.5 sacks last year.

Last week, the Steelers allowed a combined two sacks against the Falcons. It looks as though Russell Wilson will be unavailable for the second week running.

If Wilson does start, he was the fifth-most sacked quarterback (45) in the league last season.

Even if he doesn’t, backup Justin Fields was right behind him in sixth place, sacked 44 times.

DraftKings offers +130 for Cooper to register at least .25 sacks. Those odds will yield a profit of $13 if it hits.
