I started things off by asking Brent about the total, which has risen over the past week, undoubtedly due mostly to reports of likely mild weather. Brent filled me in on why he moved his particular line up, how the sharps have been betting the total over the past two weeks, and what action he has taken on the first half total since he released it.
Then we discussed the spread, which has not moved over the past week, but which does have a side that is being clearly favored by the sharp accounts, according to Brent. I asked Brent more about that, what kind of sharp action he expects between now and kickoff, and how this super bowl compares to past super bowls in terms of notable sharp opinions on the spread.
In Part 2 of this week’s show, we moved on to discuss props, and Brent had a wealth of information for us. He identified a number of props that have taken sharp action, and interestingly, although the groups betting the side and total and the groups betting the props are different, their action generally points to the same type of outcome for the game.
We wrapped up the call by discussing the action overall, and what Brent expects to see on Super Bowl Sunday that is different from what he has seen so far. No surprise, Brent said he always takes a ton of action rolling in all day Sunday until kickoff.
